We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Titus Smith. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Titus below.
Titus , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
Growing up as a kid/ adolescent I used to always go over my uncle and aunt’s house. Majority of the time I would always either have to go to work with him, cut his grass, or do some sort of labor. I never understood it as a kid; I would always think “why do I have to always come over here and do work?”. It never really made any sense to me. So as I got older, and started working full time jobs, people would always comment on my work ethic. I just thought it was who I was; until I actually started thinking back to my childhood, and noticed what my uncle was instilling in me. I asked him when I was older , his reply was “you’ve always had a fire in your eyes, and I knew you would work” He always says it’s only 3 of us that don’t mind actually working hard. So i definitely love my uncle for that, I will never forget what he did for me in regards to my work ethic. Love you Uncle Mark. “Peace” as he would say.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Well first, All glory goes to God. My name is Titus Smith. I’m the owner of a Junk Removal company called Tito Hauls ALL. I’ve been in business since march of 2021; I’ve been full time since November of 2022. We provide services such as: trash-outs (commercial residential) garage clean outs, basement clean outs, storage unit clean-outs, festival clean up, demolition (commercial, residential). We strive to provide a service catered to the customer. We take pride in what we do, we take pride in people, and we take pride in experiences. Nothing amounts to customers reactions when you can literally be a blessing to them. Sometimes it can be just a small as listening to someone on the job, you never know the real reason why you’re encountering that person., but as long as I know that I’m sent for a reason, and I do what Im sent to do, nothing can compare to that. I’m just a Man of service that’s providing a service!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities, skills, areas of knowledge would be: faith, professionalism, ambition.
I would say faith because that’s what it took, I’m order for me to take the leap. I just jumped out there literally with nothing but God. Even though this process is new to me, I have to remind myself of just that. It took faith to take the leap, but it takes faith to continue. Things are going to always be rough starting out, but that’s where you have to trust God, do your part, and rely on Him. There will be moments where your faith will
Be tested, but like an ex co-worker told me: “He’s brought you too far to let you fail”. To achieve a different level of faith, the best answer I can give is BELIEVE IN GOD, trust in his promises. (This I’m still learning with you.)
With ambition is feel like you have to want more to get more. Work ethic is a huge part of success. No matter what it is that you’re doing, your work ethic will reveal how ambitious you are. It’ll show how bad you want it, are you willing to get your hands and feet dirty (meaning, are you willing to work for it). You always have to be willing to go the extra mile, make the sacrifices! I think to improve when it comes to this, just WANT MORE, dig deep and GO GET IT. I’m sports related speech; BRING THAT DOG OUT!
Professionalism is something that can get you in the rooms where work ethic alone can’t get you in. Work ethic will get you noticed, but professionalism will set you apart.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I would love to build relationships with like minded individuals. Iron sharpens iron! I would to LEARN from successful entrepreneurs. I would also love to build long lasting business relationships with Real Estate agents, New Construction builders, Storage Companies, Banks, property managers, Construction Companies; anyone who would offer an opportunity to keep us busy!
