Toccara , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose while navigating through life, dealing with the loss of my biological mother and realizing the talents that I was given. As we journey through life we realize what we are good at and what we have a heart for. I have a heart for making people feel good about themselves. Dealing with loss taught me how precious life is and to live each day to the fullest. It has not been an easy journey but it has been well worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am Toccara Samuel, Licensed Esthetician, CEO and Creator of Exceptional Creations with Toccara and the Exceptional Private Label Company. I specialize in Hair growth, skincare, beard care, coaching, product education and product creation. In addition to being an Esthetician I work as a Beauty Specialist, I’m an author and I assist others on their journey towards wellness and beauty. My journey began while in school to become an esthetician. I lost my hair due to health issues and started experiencing issues with my skin. I started developing all natural products to assist with hair growth, eczema, acne, pain and more.To go from having no hair to fully growing my hair back myself was a journey that led to me assisting others while tracking my growth via social media. I proved my products work by being my own walking billboard while assisting others. After obtaining all that was needed to launch my business I began networking with barbers, stylists, beauty supply stores and other estheticians to expand my brand. My products are now available on my website and have shipped throughout the United States.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three very important qualities are honesty, consistency and authenticity. Always be honest with yourself and your clients, be consistent in growing your business and be your true authentic self.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am definitely looking to collaborate with others. I’m interested in collaborating with Podcasts, influencers, beauty professionals, tattoo artists/enthusiasts, barbers, beard enthusiasts,mental health organizations, body positive influencers, and I am also looking for brand ambassadors.
