Toi cheri, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I found my purpose in fashion at the tender age of five when I showcased in my first fashion show. The clothing, the colors, the decor, and music, all intertwined and gave me the feeling of creativity, and happiness. I knew form this experience that I had to be a fashion creative and with my fashion make a difference in the world.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am the visionary owner and designer behind Indigoz Shoes and Indigoz Insoles
I pursued my education in fashion at Norfolk State and Marymount University, and gained invaluable mentorship from Carl Brown, co-owner of FUBU.

My career in fashion has taken me to prestigious platforms like New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, and LA Fashion Week, as well as the Miguel Wilson show in Atlanta. Growing up in a military family and traveling the world, I attribute my roots in Washington D.C. for shaping me into the innovative entrepreneur that I am today.

I am excited to relaunch Indigoz Shoes, a luxury shoe line focused on healthy foot care on its own e-commerce platform, and to restock my popular insoles Indigoz Insoles, now sold exclusively on Amazon in 2026. With a journey full of milestones and a bright future ahead, I am ready for the next chapter.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three qualities that were impactful to me were adaptability, financial literacy, and innovation.

The advice that I can give on these three qualities is to adapt, you must always be willing to keep an open mind to different ways of working your business and even life, be willing to be a forever student and learn all aspects of your business, execute and pivot even.

Financial literacy is another major quality, you must be responsible, and disciplined, when it comes to finances. Keep a healthy budget, pay your bills and feed back into your business always, even though you may want that new car or home or vacation, sacrifice those things until you have a solid foundation for your business, make sure your business is running correctly and you can build on top of it, prioritize your business before financially jumping into something else.

Last but not least innovation, to me is always fun. This is where your creativity comes into play. Creating something new and giving a solution to a problem is always key to a successful business. You must do your research and even work in different spaces to find out what is missing in the world and the industry of your business you are in. keep update to date on trends, markets, and economy these things always help in the journey and development of all that you have in business and life.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

As a business owner, I have realized you cannot run a business without help or partnership. In my stage of expansion and growth, I am always looking for partnership and help for my business to succeed. My ideal partnership or help should come from a person or persons, who sees that my companies provide a solution to a problem in the foot industry, I have created a brand that promotes healthy footcare, why looking stylish, we also do our part in the community by hosting shoe drives, and I’ve also designed a shoe to just donate cross the global, not wanting a profit from it. My partner or help will see my vision and help me to continue to move it forward.
