Meet Tommi Aura

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tommi Aura. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Tommi, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from my mother. I watched my mother be the bread winner for our family and work really long hours to make sure we had a good childhood. Her love language is gift giving and as a child, every Christmas was special and I never went without. She’s a very selfless and resilient woman and that inspires me to keep going today.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Tommi Aura is an androgynous artist taking over pop music. Their sound can be described as experimental pop with elements of electronic and dance. Aura has an extensive career in modeling, having worked with clients such as Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, Vogue Magazine, Elle Magazine and Chanel just to name a few. Taking from their fashion experience, Aura merges fashion with their music to create a dynamic experience for any observer of the Aura brand. Welcome to the world of Tommi Aura. ☆

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I think three skills I learned that I still carry today are: act as if, dress as the star you desire to be and align with your highest self as best you can every day. I think in this social media crazy world we live in, it’s easy to compare and feel behind on your journey, but these three skills have helped me achieve success and become to the star I’ve always desired to be. Keep your blinders on!!

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

Comapring to other artists. One thing that is helping me get over this is reminding myself there is enough success to go around and no ones journey is going to look like mine and that’s a blessing.
