Meet Toni Weathers

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Toni Weathers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Toni , so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?

I’ve come to understand that being different isn’t a disadvantage—it’s a powerful opportunity. As one of the few, or sometimes the only person in the room who looks like me, I have a unique responsibility to set a positive example and pave the way for those who will come after me. It’s not just about my own success; it’s about making sure others see that someone like us can thrive and excel. I’m driven to show that success is possible, and I take this to heart, knowing that my performance and professionalism can influence perceptions and open doors for others.

But I don’t stop there. I actively work to educate and uplift others who share my background, putting them in positions where they can succeed and grow. My hope is to create a network of talent, so when the time is right, I can open even more doors, offering real opportunities to those who might not otherwise have access. It’s a responsibility I hold close, and while it can sometimes feel like a lot to carry, I stay centered and motivated by focusing on the bigger mission. This larger purpose reminds me that my actions today can shape the landscape of tomorrow, making the path a little clearer and easier for those who follow.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m a dynamic professional known for my impactful work both behind and in front of the camera. Recognized for pushing creative boundaries and bringing diverse visions to life, my career has been built on meticulous attention to detail, endless creativity, and a strong talent for transforming ideas into reality. I led TW Group, a transformative agency committed to enhancing businesses and homes worldwide, beginning with my background in property management and expanding to overseeing commercial spaces on platforms like Peerspace, Airbnb, and Giggster.

Today, I’ve combined my skills to launch The Creators Adventure Park—a commercial real estate initiative designed as a hub for creatives to realize their highest potential. Our mission is to empower creatives by providing access to tools, resources, and support, helping them turn passion into sustainable careers and building generational wealth. To support this venture, TW Group is curating art shows to fundraise. Our first event, 30 Years of Black Excellence, was a tremendous success, and we’re excited to expand, incorporating artists from all walks of life, providing resources, and raising funds for a greater purpose.

Additionally, I launched the Reflection Collection sweatshirt line, designed to celebrate the beauty and strength of Black women. This collection uplifts and empowers all individuals of melanin-rich heritage, honoring their worth and celebrating diversity in shade, style, background, and size. It’s a reminder that those who look like you are deserving and worthy.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Patience, Perseverance, and Personability – My Three Essential P’s for Success

Entrepreneurship is a thrilling, unpredictable journey, much like a roller coaster—especially in the early days. The dips and twists can make even the most confident among us question our path, but that’s where the 3 P’s come in.

Patience is essential. It’s important to be kind to yourself and give your brand time to grow. Remember, building something worthwhile doesn’t happen overnight. Every challenge is a learning experience, and every small victory is a step toward your larger goal. Patience with yourself, your process, and your vision is key to staying grounded and focused.

Then there’s Perseverance. Building a sustainable business that stands the test of time requires grit and resilience. The high you feel when everything is going right—when your business is flourishing—needs to be matched with that same energy and focus even when things are tough. There will be times when it feels like everything is falling apart. Don’t let setbacks knock you down; let them drive you to push forward, find solutions, and become even stronger. Perseverance is what turns passion into progress.

And finally, Personability. No business exists in a vacuum; it’s the people who make it thrive. From your customers and team to supporters and even critics, being personable makes a difference. As cliché as it sounds, treat people the way you want to be treated. Building trust and genuine relationships is what helps transform transactions into loyalty and turn a business into a community.

So, embrace the ups and downs, trust in the process, and keep those 3 P’s close. With patience, perseverance, and personability, you’re setting the foundation for a business that’s not only successful but also meaningful.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’m looking to collaborate with creative professionals who are eager to elevate their careers both artistically and strategically. My goal is to support those who want to grow beyond just their craft by strengthening the business foundations of their work, making it sustainable and impactful without compromising their artistic vision. Whether you’re a visual painter, graphic artist, sculptor, or creator in any field, I want to help you build a career that is both creatively fulfilling and financially rewarding.

I’m also seeking individuals who are passionate about the behind-the-scenes work that drives these visions forward. If you love diving deep into research, discovering unique opportunities for artists, or fostering relationships with industry players, I’d love to work with you. These roles are vital—they help identify new platforms, create collaborations, and establish connections that can take an artist’s career to the next level. Together, we can cultivate an ecosystem that not only celebrates creativity but also strategically amplifies it, creating lasting pathways to success.

Let’s build a community of creative professionals who are committed to expanding their horizons, bringing new ideas to life, and supporting each other on the journey to long-term growth and success.
