Meet Tony

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tony a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Tony, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from pure survival. If you don’t show up and do the best job you can, you will no longer have a business. This is so important when you are self employed and own your own business. If you don’t produce a good product, your business will not last. I also love to make people happy so doing a perfect job and getting that initial reaction from a happy client is what really keeps me going.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I have been installing wallpaper in the Denver Metro area for over 40 years. Check out my portfolio on my website here: https://www.corbelinteriors.com/ I absolutely love what I do and wish there were more people doing it. Wallpaper installation has become a dying art. So I am starting up a school where people can not only learn the trade, but how to run a successful business as well. The link to my classes is here: https://www.wallpaperprofits.com/ I figure with over 125 five star google reviews, I must know a little about what I’m doing. I’m getting close to retirement and would love to keep this trade going.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

When it comes to wallpaper, patience is the number one thing to keep in mind. You only learn the skills in this trade by hands on work. You will also learn something new almost every day. So you need to know how to solve new problems and remember that on the next one. So I would say, Patience, hands on training and problem solving are the 3 qualities and skills in my line of work.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am getting close to retiring and have had a wonderful and fulfilling career installing wallpaper. I need new people to learn this trade and will train them and offer a paid apprentice program. Those who are interested can contact me through this website https://www.wallpaperprofits.com/ and can read more there to get on board. I am holding classes in May 2025.
