Meet Tori Ellis

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tori Ellis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Tori with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I get my work ethic from my mom and watching how hard she worked to keep a roof over our heads growing up. It wasn’t easy but she found a way. She would go from working two jobs during the day to coming home and working toward her dreams all while taking care of her three kids. Which really showed me when there’s a will there’s a way and to never give up on my dreams.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

When I was little I knew I wanted to make a difference but didn’t know how. I’m someone who has always been very fond of the arts and I knew from a young age that I wanted to bring other peoples story’s to life either on the stage or on screen. It’s has always been a way for me to connect with my friends and family . It’s exciting to see everyone come together and share and connect with a project that I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of. I didn’t even know if this journey was a possibility until I booked my first role in “kin Dread”
Directed by Adrian Leon which then lead to so many amazing opportunities and pushed me to really work hard on my dreams and make it a reality.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Some of the best things I can think of would be to work hard and give your all into every project no matter how big or small. Also practice because you are never done learning and growing in this industry, you will be thrown curve balls quite often that you will have to learn to adapt to quickly and effectively. Lastly I would recommend standing your ground always. But over all enjoy your work and take time to live in the moment.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

If i only had one decade left to live I wouldn’t change how im living my life right now . I would continue to work hard towards my dreams and goals. All while sharing my life with friends and family because the reality is we don’t know what our time left here is and if you aren’t already living a life that makes you happy and pushes you to be the best version of your self then change it up but over all find what motivates you no matter the time limit.
