We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tori L. Edwards. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tori below.
Hi Tori, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My confidence and self-esteem didn’t just appear overnight, they were built over years of overcoming personal challenges, rediscovering my identity, and leaning deeply into my faith. I’ve experienced seasons where I questioned my worth, both as a woman and as a leader. What helped me develop confidence was deciding that my voice, my vision, and my story mattered.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m Tori L. Edwards. I’m the project manager and founder of WITH MOTHA, a healing platform dedicated to strengthening the bonds between mothers and daughters through emotional intelligence, faith, and personal growth. My work is rooted in helping women heal from generational patterns, restore trust, and create emotionally safe relationships.
The heart of WITH MOTHA is about connection, and one of the most exciting ways we’re bringing that to life right now is through The Bond Walk: Mother-Daughter Fashion Show in partnership with Dillard’s Mall of GA happening this September. This isn’t just a runway event, it’s a celebration of unity, confidence, and legacy. Mothers and daughters will walk the runway together, showing not only their style but the beauty of their bond.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been faith, resilience, and vision.
Faith has been the foundation, it’s what has kept me grounded when challenges came and when the path wasn’t clear. Resilience has allowed me to keep going, even when I didn’t have all the resources or when things didn’t go as planned. And vision has been the compass. From the beginning, I’ve been able to see what could be, even before others could.
For anyone early in their journey, build your faith and strengthen your resilience. Be okay with starting small, failing forward, and learning as you go. And lastly, protect and refine your vision. Not everyone will see what you see, and that’s okay. Keep nurturing the dream until it becomes real.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely, collaboration is at the heart of what I do. Right now, I’m especially looking to partner with brands, businesses, and creatives who believe in the power of community, storytelling, and empowerment for women and families.
WITH MOTHA regularly collaborates with speakers, coaches, faith leaders, and organizations focused on women’s healing, personal development, and breaking generational cycles. Whether it’s through live events, workshops, retreats, or creative campaigns, I love working with people who share the mission of helping women see themselves as whole and worthy.
If you’re reading this and feel aligned with the vision, I’d love to connect. The best way to reach me is via Instagram @withmotha or [email protected] through email.
