We were lucky to catch up with Tracy Winborn recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tracy, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurship: How I Turned My Pain into Impact
Before I ever launched a business, I survived the kind of pain that makes you question everything. I lost my infant son. I went through a divorce. I battled depression and anxiety while raising a toddler who had just lost her baby brother. Life didn’t pause. I had to keep moving. So, I made a decision: I wasn’t going to let grief define me I was going to build from it. I enrolled in an LPN program and pushed forward, not just for survival, but to create something better for my daughter and myself. What I didn’t expect was how my story would become a tool one that connected me to people more powerfully than any marketing strategy ever could. I remember one moment clearly. It wasn’t a big event just a small community gathering. I wasn’t planning to speak about my life, but something told me to open up. I shared what I’d been through and how I kept going. When I finished, people came up to me in tears, saying, “I needed that.” That was the turning point. I realized my story had impact. It wasn’t just about building a business it was about building a mission. Every venture I’ve launched since then has been rooted in connection, authenticity, and purpose. As entrepreneurs, we often focus on scaling, strategy, and success. But I’ve learned that real influence comes from truth. People don’t just want products they want something real. And when you lead with your story, you create space for transformation.
My pain became my platform. And now, purpose is my business plan.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a Paparazzi Jewelry Consultant and a purpose-driven entrepreneur with two storefront locations one in Great Northern Mall and the other inside The Inspiration Room. At Great Northern, I’ve also been blessed with the opportunity to serve as the store’s Assistant Manager, allowing me to promote my brand while gaining hands-on experience in leadership, retail operations, and customer connection.
That role has opened the door to amazing relationships with other vendors, mentors, and customers. Every day, I’m learning, growing, and building a business that reflects not just my story but my faith.
Faith is the foundation of everything I do. It’s in how I connect with others, how I serve, and how I lead. Whether I’m helping someone find the perfect piece of jewelry or simply listening to their story, I believe God places me in these moments for a reason. My storefronts are more than shopping spaces they’re spaces of encouragement, hope, and purpose.
I’m excited for what’s ahead: community events, continued growth, and deeper impact. My journey is living proof that pain can be transformed into purpose, and that business can be both successful and spirit led. Every step I take is guided by faith and fueled by a mission to uplift others one story, one connection, and one bold accessory at a time.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, there were three key qualities that shaped everything for me: resilience, faith, and relationship-building.
1. Resilience
Life hit me hard losing a child, facing divorce, dealing with mental health struggles. But I didn’t let it stop me. Resilience isn’t about having it all together it’s about showing up anyway. It’s about pushing forward when nothing makes sense. For anyone early in their journey, know this: hard times don’t mean you’re off track. They’re shaping you. Keep going, even when it’s slow. Keep showing up.
2. Faith
My faith kept me grounded when everything around me was falling apart. It gave me the strength to believe that this pain could turn into purpose. Faith isn’t just a feeling it’s a decision to trust that your story has meaning. If you want to build something lasting, start with a solid spiritual foundation. Let that guide your choices, your mindset, and your mission.
3. Relationship-Building
Whether it’s customers, vendors, mentors, or community members, the relationships I’ve built have been everything. At Great Northern Mall, becoming Assistant Manager gave me the chance to connect with other business owners, share my story, and learn from them. My advice? Don’t try to do this alone. Show up with authenticity, support others, and stay open to learning. Real growth happens through connection.
Final advice:
Don’t wait to “feel ready.” Start with what you have. Share your story. Stay rooted in who you are, and never underestimate how far consistency, humility, and purpose can take you.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I’m open and excited to collaborate especially with those who believe in purpose-driven work, faith, and community impact.
As an Independent Paparazzi Jewelry Consultant, I operate two storefronts built on connection, empowerment, and style with meaning. My mission is to create spaces where customers don’t just shop, they feel seen, uplifted, and inspired.
I’m especially interested in collaborating with:
• Small business owners and vendors looking to cross-promote, co-host pop-up events, or partner for in-store experiences.
• Faith-based leaders and entrepreneurs who want to bring inspiration, healing, and community support to their audiences.
• Mental health advocates, life coaches, and wellness professionals with a mission to uplift and empower.
• Event organizers or speakers creating platforms for women’s empowerment, spiritual growth, or entrepreneurial development.
Whether you’re planning a pop-up, launching a new initiative, or looking to join forces for community impact I’d love to connect. Let’s build something real, something impactful, and something that helps others rise.
