We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Traliece. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Traliece below.
Traliece, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?
I have learned over the years the importance of knowing who you truly are, embracing that, being comfortable in that. It all starts with the inner work. In order for me to achieve this level of confidence, it took a combination of leaning on my faith, going to therapy, investing in life coaching, and reading books on self-improvement. When you know who are and are confident in that, nothing can stop you. Another lesson I have learned is also having radical acceptance of others values and beliefs while knowing that you don’t have to adopt their thoughts and feelings about you.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My journey as a singer-violinist began early in New Orleans, LA, where I was surrounded by a vibrant mix of classical, jazz, R\&B, and soul. As a young violinist, I quickly discovered that music had no boundaries, and that spirit has shaped everything I do today. From performing with youth and symphony orchestras to later collaborating on a Grammy-nominated project, those experiences built my foundation as both a violinist and vocalist. Over time, my artistry evolved into something uniquely my own—a sound that blends elegance and soul, classical roots and contemporary expression.
Now, as a full-time performer for private and corporate events, I use that versatility to create moments that feel deeply personal for each client. What excites me most is the way music can transform an ordinary gathering into something unforgettable, whether it’s a wedding, an intimate dinner, or a large celebration. Every performance is about connection—about bringing beauty, authenticity, and a sense of joy that stays with people long after the music ends.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three qualities that shaped my journey most are versatility, perseverance, and connection. Growing up in New Orleans, I learned to embrace many genres, which gave me the versatility to perform anywhere and connect with any audience. Perseverance carried me through the challenges every artist faces, teaching me to stay committed to my craft even when progress felt slow. And connection has always been the heart of it all—music becomes powerful when it touches people on a personal level.
For those just starting out, I’d say: stay curious and open to learning, be patient with yourself during the tough seasons, and always focus on how your music makes others feel. That’s where the magic lies.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Honestly, it has been my relationship with God that has been helpful for me in overcoming many challenges along with following His guidance in helping me find the resources, opportunities, and relationships that I needed in order to be successful.
