Meet Trang Nguyen

We recently connected with Trang Nguyen and have shared our conversation below.

Trang, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

For years, I balanced life between spreadsheets and school lunches — a full-time accountant, a mom of four (including a pair of lively twins), and the quiet force behind the scenes keeping everything moving. Life was busy, noisy, and sometimes chaotic. But it was my daughter’s eczema that shifted everything.

I tried countless store-bought creams and soaps that promised relief, but none of them helped. I watched her itch, cry, and struggle — and I felt helpless. That’s when I decided to try something different. I researched natural ingredients, ancient remedies, and gentle formulas. In my tiny kitchen, I started crafting soap from raw goat milk, soothing oils, and nourishing herbs.

What began as a desperate attempt to comfort my child turned into something so much bigger.

Friends started asking for bars. Then neighbors. Then moms at school pickup who shared the same struggles. Word spread — not just about the products, but about the love, care, and intention behind every item I made. That’s when I realized: this isn’t just a hobby. This is healing. This is connection. This is purpose.

CVA Products was born — a small business with a big heart, dedicated to helping others find relief, comfort, and confidence in their skin. I wasn’t just making soap. I was creating hope.

Today, I stand proudly as a business owner, mom, and maker — helping families feel seen, supported, and safe in their own skin. My purpose found me when I leaned into love, listened to my intuition, and chose to turn pain into purpose.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a mom of four, an accountant by trade, and the founder of CVA Products, my labor of love nestled in the heart of Old Town Keller, TX. My journey didn’t start with a business plan — it started with my daughter’s eczema and a deep desire to ease her discomfort when nothing store-bought could.

I turned to nature, ancient remedies, and my own hands. What began as experimenting with goat milk soaps in my kitchen quickly turned into something life-changing — not just for my daughter, but for so many others who struggle with sensitive skin. That’s when I knew: this wasn’t just a solution. It was my calling.

At CVA Products, I create natural, handmade skincare for real families. Every soap, balm, and body butter is crafted with intention — no harsh chemicals, no synthetic fillers, just simple ingredients that work. I love creating custom pieces for special moments, whether it’s baby shower favors, client appreciation gifts, or a soothing balm for a newborn’s delicate skin.

The most exciting part? Seeing people light up when they find something that actually helps — and knowing it came from something as personal as a mother’s love.

What I want people to know about CVA Products is that this isn’t just skincare — it’s self-care, it’s comfort, it’s community. It’s about helping others feel confident, beautiful, and understood in their own skin.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on my journey with CVA Products, three qualities stand out as truly impactful:

1. Resilience

Starting a business while raising four kids, working full-time, and navigating uncertainty wasn’t easy. There were late nights, failed batches, and moments of doubt — but I kept going. That resilience kept me grounded and moving forward, even when progress felt slow.

Advice:
Embrace imperfection and keep showing up. Small, consistent steps matter more than waiting for the perfect moment. Resilience grows each time you push through something hard.

2. Curiosity & Willingness to Learn

I didn’t start as an expert in skincare or natural ingredients — I started as a mom doing research at my kitchen table. I was constantly learning about herbs, oils, skin types, packaging, marketing, and more. That curiosity turned into knowledge and confidence over time.

Advice:
Start where you are. Be open to learning, experimenting, and making mistakes. Free resources, local mentors, and online communities can take you far if you’re willing to learn.

3. Connection & Communication

Building personal relationships with customers and fellow small business owners has been the heart of my brand. People don’t just buy products — they support stories, values, and real people. Connecting authentically helped me grow my community and find my voice.

Advice:
Share your “why.” Whether it’s online or at a local market, let people see the heart behind your brand. Relationships are more powerful than algorithms.

To anyone just starting out:

Give yourself grace, stay true to your mission, and believe in the value you bring. You don’t need to have it all figured out — you just need to begin.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I’m always open to meaningful partnerships and collaborations! At CVA Products, I love connecting with others who share a passion for natural wellness, handmade artistry, and community care.

I’m especially looking to collaborate with:

Maternity and postpartum care providers (doulas, lactation consultants, retreat hosts)

Boutique owners and gift shop curators looking for clean, handmade products

Local event planners in need of custom gift sets or favors

Holistic practitioners and wellness educators

Photographers, bloggers, or creators who align with clean living, motherhood, or small business storytelling

Whether it’s a pop-up event, product feature, co-branded gift box, or content collab — I’d love to connect and explore how we can support each other.
