We were lucky to catch up with Triniti Rivera recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Triniti , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I’ve developed, and continue to develop, self confidence through solo travel and putting my work and just myself out there. I’ve found that the more you push past the barriers of self limitation, you figure out where the negative thoughts come from. Typically they’re stemmed from fear and past experiences—really nothing rooted in who you are at all.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My name is Triniti, and I’m focused on all things travel and exploration. My professional focus is on travel writing and blogging. I write, create content, and help others prepare for and navigate the solo travel space—while remaining budget-friendly. My goal is to encourage everyone to get out there and experience the world without the barriers of finance, dietary restrictions, and just the general fear that comes with stepping out of your comfort zone.
I’ve solo traveled through five countries in the past year and a half, navigated Celiac disease while traveling, and completed numerous work exchanges— all in the name of curiosity and exploration. There’s a world of opportunity and adventure out there waiting for us, and I want to help others see how attainable it truly is.
I’ve also just launched a new website (trintravels.com) where the home to my new travel blog and travel services will be. Check it out!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The areas of knowledge that have benefited me the most during this journey have been:
1) Never take advice from someone living a life you wouldn’t want to live.
2) Don’t be afraid of failing or asking others for help.
3) Your passions mean something, even if the pieces don’t fit together yet.
The advice I’d give others early on in their journey of solo travel would be:
1) Do your research ahead of time, but don’t have everything planned out so you can leave room for real travel.
2) Take a risk, then take another, then take more.
3) More people are rooting for you than you know and want you to create incredible experiences for yourself.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The book that played an important role in my development was The Untethered Soul. It felt like a wake-up call. It helped me sift through my emotions and fear and led me to realize how limiting our thoughts can be when we’re not aware of them. The book talks on the power of perspective and is a digestible way to positively program your brain and thought patterns to manifest the life you want.
