We were lucky to catch up with Tris Marie Sutherland recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tris Marie, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Honestly I’ve always looked to God to guide me to the open doors he wants me to walk through.
I spent a lot of years trying to do things my own way but I would rather be where God wants to use me, and I’m always amazed how everything works out when you are open to that.
Sometimes I’m still not sure where certain things will lead and I think that’s okay to not have the answers, but if I just trust God to guide me on the journey wherever it leads, I know that I am in my purpose, and I’m always content in that.
It’s really as simple as that.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
What most excites me is that I am in a position to be able to help people, whether it’s through video content, 0r helping them with one of their most important life transitions; home ownership or relocating.
I have always been a nurturer, so I’m happy to be able to be there for people.
I spent about 9 years in the film industry as well and did a little reality tv along with films and commercials.
I’ve done a lot in the entertainment industry, so I understand it and the people well.
If you are locating out of Georgia or moving into Georgia, I love that I can be a source of information for people.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Work ethic and passion.
I think you have to love what you do.

I can thank my family for being such a good example of hard workers! All of my siblings are successful and work hard and both of my parents modeled a solid work ethic as well.
Skills: Everything I’ve learned in my 44 years on Earth I think have just made me a better guide for people. Everything whether good or bad, all of that experience I believe helps me guide people better.
I also think moving around a lot from military bases and raising 2 kids having to relocate multiple times, has also given me a great amount of understanding of the needs of people.
My understanding of the entertainment industry and the way that it functions is definitely useful for me to be able to help actors, etc in relocating as well.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I always love collaborating with people! I’ve partnered with over 100 major companies and brands and am always looking for new partners.
