Meet Trish Brewer

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Trish Brewer. Trish was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Tenya Eickenberg.

Hi Trish, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
The culmination of years of burnout, the overwhelm of working mom guilt, unrealistic expectations, juggling multiple roles and responsibilities, and the lack of self-care and boundaries landed me in the hospital for a week. This medical emergency knocked me out of my comfort zone and forced a change in my lifestyle. I could no longer ignore my own needs. I realized to take care of the ones I loved I would have to start with myself. And so began my recovery to heal not just my body, but all of me, finally recognizing the connection of the body/mind/ spirit. I started to meditate daily and journal my thoughts and feelings. I went to therapy, did yoga, and received Reiki and acupuncture.

Then, two years later, on a June afternoon in Stratton, Vermont, breathwork found me. An unfolding began as deep layers of stored trauma surfaced. From there, the healing within began and rippled outward. More moved through me in those forty-five minutes than in a lifetime. And,

I had been doing “the work.” I even co-led a women’s group centered around spiritual empowerment. But breathwork cracked me wide open! It was the healing modality that called me home. My body trembled and cramped as the energy coursed through it. Tears flowed as the trauma of old wounds came to the surface and then left. I felt the warm embrace of my Nona Santina as she put my heart and mind at ease through it all. I saw the face of my dad come to me, filling me with strength. It was sad, it was gut-wrenching, and it was beautiful, all at once. It left me longing for more. I knew I had just barely scraped the surface of my healing. That summer I continued to peel back the layers through many virtual sessions.

By the end of the summer, I had completed my first level of breathwork training and by the end of the following summer, I had completed the first of my certifications. To say breathwork has changed the trajectory of my life would be an understatement. I liken it to more of a remembering. I returned from Vermont with purpose. It gave me a peace I didn’t know before.

Breathwork was the breakthrough for me. It was the next level of energy work that peeled back a layer of my life and made me see with such clarity and peace what was necessary.

I earned my Breath Coach Certification from Yoga Teachers College, studied under David Elliot, a Breathwork pioneer, received my Usui Reiki training through Divine Tri Source, completed my trauma training with the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) Training Institute, and continue my work with Gwen Dittmar.
Today I am a trauma informed Breathwork Coach and Reiki Master Teacher guiding individuals committed to deep inner healing.

Please tell us more about your practice.

Through personalized breathwork techniques and Reiki energy healing, I help my clients release trauma, restore balance, and achieve transformative wellness. I use a broad spectrum of modalities to guide you along the way and meet you where you are. My sessions are sensitively designed to anticipate the messy and unexpected aspects of the healing process, acknowledging both the light and the dark and witnessing the beauty along the way.

Tenya Eickenberg and Design Your Existence have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Tenya Eickenberg and Design Your Existence and your experience with them.
Tenya Eickenberg is a kind and empathetic human who has a genuine gift for us all. She is the owner of Design Your Existence, the one-and-only certified Master Life and Self-Care Coach specializing in anxiety and depression. Tenya excels in The Emotion Code, a powerful modality that transforms emotional well-being.

I first met Tenya through a mutual friend and colleague while collaborating on a project. Honestly, I had no idea what to expect when we scheduled the appointment, even as someone in the wellness industry practicing energy work. I was amazed at how accurate the muscle testing was and how quickly the energy began to shift around the intention I had set, both on a physical and mental level.

The Emotion Code is a truly fascinating modality. Tenya’s expertise and intuitive guidance made the session both profound and enlightening. I continue to see the results of our session unfold, bringing more clarity, balance, and peace into my life. If you are seeking deep emotional healing and transformation, I highly recommend experiencing The Emotion Code with Tenya Eickenberg.
