Meet Trisha Irizari

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Trisha Irizari. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Trisha, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?

Generosity has always been a part of who I am, passed down through generations in my family. It started with my grandmother, or as we Filipinos affectionately call her, “Lola.” She was strict in her ways, but her heart was immense. Whether it was showing up for us, offering financial help, or sharing wise advice, she was always there when we needed her. My parents carried on that same spirit, always giving back, even when they had very little for themselves. They never hesitated to offer a helping hand. This legacy of kindness and generosity is embedded in my DNA—not out of obligation, but simply because it’s in my nature to support family and friends however I can.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

In my day-to-day work, I collaborate with a high-end furniture manufacturer and distributor, serving a range of brands from large to small. We curate sustainable, stylish, and sometimes budget-friendly furniture. My role focuses on distributing and launching high-quality pieces for both our online store and our high-profile wholesale clients.

While furniture may seem unrelated to my dog treat business, Urban Dog Treats actually complements it. I’ve been able to apply strategic insights from my job—particularly in online sales—to grow my own brand. As we gear up for the holidays, we’re preparing for a major sales event. We’ll be well-stocked ahead of time and ready to offer incredible deals a week before Black Friday and throughout Black Friday Week. In addition to our online promotions, we’re excited to partner with Friends Fur-Ever Pet Food & Supplies in Walnut, CA, for a physical sale, offering some fantastic in-store deals!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three key qualities that have shaped my journey are creativity, learning, and listening. I always aim to be creative in everything I do, whether in my day-to-day work or my business. For me, creativity has no boundaries—whether it’s in art, styling, or design, I’m constantly pushing to explore new ideas.

Learning is something I’ve made a core part of my mindset. I remind myself that there’s always someone out there who knows more or has better skills, and that drives me to keep growing. Whether it’s through online classes, reading forums and books, attending seminars, or learning from my peers, I’m always seeking out new knowledge.

Listening is another vital skill, both in business and in life. By truly listening, you not only learn, but you gain a deeper understanding, which helps you navigate through challenges. My advice is to always keep an open mind—whether you’re learning from others, books, or forums, never close yourself off to gaining new knowledge.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

At Urban Dog, we’re always excited to collaborate with people and pets who align with our vision. Right now, we’re on the lookout for a brand ambassador who can represent us not just this month, but into next year as we continue to level up our brand. We’re also searching for the right partner to help us take the brand to the next level. Of course, it’s important for us to align with that person and understand how their strengths can contribute to boosting the brand further.
