Meet Tristyn Landry

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tristyn Landry. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Tristyn , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

My discovery of my purpose began with makeup, which I genuinely love. The art of making people feel beautiful has always captivated me, and at the age of 12, I began applying cosmetics to friends and family. Over time I expanded my business with makeup, fine line tattoos, microblading, and areola tattoos, a medium that enables me to express creativity in a very meaningful and personal way. For me, tattoos are more than just works of art; they’re representations of personal identity and experiences. My favorite thing about my job is that it allows me to get to know people better and help them feel strong and secure in their own skin. My goal, is to empower others through my art.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I started my business, Hollywood Beauty LLC, at 19 years old. Im driven by my passion for beauty and helping others. What excites me most is that my work allows me to connect with people in a meaningful way, whether it’s through wedding makeup, SFX makeup, microblading, fine line tattoos, areola tattooing or even services like spray tans and updos. Each service I offer is something I genuinely love doing, and I take pride in being able to help my clients feel their best.

Beyond the beauty side of things, I’m also committed to giving back. My faith is the foundation of my business and my life. I enjoy donating to various charities and causes. The opportunity to help others, whether through my services or charitable donations, is a blessing that I don’t take lightly

As for what’s coming up next, I’ve got some exciting things in the works—more services, new offerings, and opportunities to expand and reach even more people. I can’t wait to share what’s coming soon! Hollywood Beauty is more than just a business to me; it’s a way to make a difference and bring joy to others

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three most impactful qualities for me were creativity, empathy, and a willingness to learn and ask questions. Creativity helps me express myself through my art, empathy allows me to connect with my clients on a deeper level, and a willingness to learn and ask questions keeps me growing in my work.

For those just starting out, my advice would be to show your creativity. People may judge but don’t let that affect you, I tried not too. I would also suggest to practice active listening to really understand your clients’ needs, and never stop learning—whether it’s through classes, tutorials, or just experimenting on your own. I would also ask questions on topics you may not know or unsure about, but always stay curious and open-minded, and you’ll keep evolving!

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

In my life, I have a lot of leaders and role models. The woman who helped me succeed from recognizing my potential at a young age was my mom. At a young age, my mother not only recognized it in me but also encouraged me to strive for excellence and gave me the freedom to express myself. She recognized my potential and success that I had not yet recognized. She helped me cultivate the qualities and confidence that have made me who I am today, and for that I am grateful. And eternally thankful.
