Meet TT

We recently connected with TT and have shared our conversation below.

TT, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
I’ve always considered myself an optimist, I have a tattoo on my leg that says “Keep going.” This tattoo serves as a reminder of my commitment to optimism, no matter the circumstances. There’s a quote from Steve Harvey that resonates with me: “If you’re going through hell, why would you stop in the middle of it?” This quote has guided me, to keep pushing and persevere until I reach the other side of challenges, regardless of the difficulty. What struck me most about this quote is the concept of continuous progress. In moments when I’ve been tempted to give up, I recall this quote and it pushes me forward. Additionally, my optimism is rooted in gratitude. Even during tough situations, I find solace in acknowledging that things could be worse. This perspective keeps me positive about my present circumstances and motivates me to focus on the path ahead. Also surrounding myself with inspiring individuals has also significantly contributed to my optimism. My circle includes talented DJs, musicians, producers, accomplished accountants, and more. I firmly believe that the people we choose to associate with shape our mindsets and aspirations. Being in the company of creative and optimistic individuals who continually uplift me has amplified my own positive outlook and has become a driving force behind my optimism.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a Multi-Media Specialist, with a focus on photography, graphic design, and videography. These three interconnected skills have not only opened incredible doors for me but have also provided me with a dynamic and ever-evolving journey. Routine is something I try to avoid in my work, and fortunately, my role allows me to escape that monotony. As a Multimedia Specialist, I find myself immersed in a plethora of interactions. My diverse clientele ensures that I engage with individuals from all walks of life. These encounters have enriched both my professional and personal life, reinforcing the exceptional nature of being a Multimedia Specialist in a world that thrives on diversity and innovation.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
three skills/areas of knowledge that were impactful to me are Creativity and Innovation: The ability to think outside the box, generate original ideas, and innovate your approaches to photography, graphic design, and videography can set you apart. This quality allows you to consistently produce fresh and captivating content that resonates with your clients and audience. Adaptability and Learning Agility: Being adaptable to change and having a willingness to learn new techniques, tools, and software is crucial. Staying up-to-date with the latest developments ensures your work remains relevant and competitive. Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Your work involves collaborating with clients, interacting with diverse people, and understanding their needs. Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to listen actively can greatly enhance your client relationships. Being able to translate their visions into visual content that aligns with their expectations is essential for a successful outcome. For people who are early in their creative journey id say Embracing Continuous Learning: this helps you stay curious and open-minded. Also, be eager to learn new techniques and tools. Seeking Constructive Feedback: Sharing your work with peers, mentors, or online communities to receive feedback and constructive criticism. helps you develop a growth mindset that embraces improvement over time. Network and Collaborate: Connect with fellow creatives, attend industry events, and engage in online communities to expand your professional network.
Collaboration with others can lead to fresh perspectives and opportunities for growth. Lastly, Developing Soft Skills such as Effective communication, teamwork, and time management are essential skills in creative fields. All of these are skills I wish I had perfected when starting my journey, none the less I began developing these skills as I started to grow in my career, they’ve continued to push me forward and as I continue to develop and grow so do these skills

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
It’s wonderful to hear that “Atomic Habits” and “Think and Grow Rich” have been impactful for you. Both books offer valuable insights that can contribute to personal growth and success.

From “Atomic Habits,” the concept of the power of habit and the principle of incremental improvement stand out as key takeaways. The idea of cultivating positive habits, no matter how small they may seem, is a transformative practice. The philosophy of consistently doing “just one more” or putting in a little extra effort each time creates a compounding effect that contributes significantly to achieving larger goals. This understanding can be a powerful tool in your journey, allowing you to make consistent progress and witness remarkable results over time.

As you navigate through “Think and Grow Rich,” the message of persistence and humility resonates. The book emphasizes the importance of persevering through challenges and setbacks, not allowing arrogance to hinder your progress, and maintaining a balanced sense of self-assurance. Additionally, the encouragement to overcome fear and take calculated risks is a pivotal lesson. By embracing these principles, you’re likely to find a harmonious blend of confidence and humility, propelling you forward while remaining open to growth and new opportunities.

Both of these books provide a valuable roadmap for personal and professional development. By applying the insights you’ve gained from them, you’re well on your way to cultivating a mindset that is geared towards continuous improvement, success, and holistic growth.
