We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tulimubona. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tulimubona below.
Tulimubona, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I struggled with confidence and self-esteem during my pre-teen and teenage years. As a Ugandan immigrant girl navigating the transition to life in the United States, I often felt out of place, which deepened those struggles. In an effort to overcome them, I initially turned to external solutions—changing my appearance and seeking validation from others. I believed that if I could align with society’s standards of beauty or gain approval and attention, particularly from men, I would feel a greater sense of worth. Neither approach brought lasting fulfillment.
Ultimately, I shifted my focus inward and upward by turning to my faith. I began seeking God’s perspective on who I am and what He says about me. After all, I was created by Him and for Him! This process allowed me to build my identity and purpose on a stronger foundation. Over time, I discovered that true confidence and self-esteem are not found in external validation but in embracing one’s identity and living with purpose.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am the founder of New Eve Wellness, a faith-based wellness brand and community. At New Eve Wellness, we are dedicated to equipping and empowering women to pursue lifestyle wellness as worship, so they can fully walk in their purpose. We offer a range of services, including one-on-one health coaching and group accountability coaching, and we host various wellness events such as retreats and conferences (the next one is on June 6th 2026 in Columbus, Ohio!).
One thing thing that is special about New Eve Wellness is that biblical principles serve as the foundation for everything we do. We focus on spiritual well-being first, and then mindset, believing that true transformation happens from the inside out. While addressing physical aspects like diet and exercise, we guide our clients to renew their minds and strengthen their spiritual health.
My goal was to build a space where people could nurture their spiritual, mental, and physical health, integrating their wellness journey with their faith. Today, I’m proud to lead a community that embraces holistic wellness rooted in faith, helping other women heal, grow, and thrive.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
When I look back on my journey, the three qualities that stand out as most impactful are optimism, tenacity, and adaptability. At times, these felt like natural traits, but I’ve also learned that they can be cultivated. Optimism–which I also call faith– has grown in me by choosing to focus on possibilities rather than limitations. Tenacity has been shaped through challenges that required me to persist even when the outcome wasn’t guaranteed. And adaptability has developed as I’ve had to navigate change, often learning to let go of what I expected in order to embrace new opportunities.
For those at the start of their journey, I’d encourage them to see these qualities not as traits you either have or don’t have, but as ways of being that are strengthened through lived experience. Each challenge, transition, or setback becomes a chance to practice and deepen them. With time, optimism, tenacity, and adaptability become less about effort and more about perspective—a steady foundation you can lean on as you continue to grow.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
Honestly, the Bible has been my life manual. I read it regularly, not only to know God more deeply, but also because it is full of timeless wisdom that anyone can apply. One book of the Bible in particular—Proverbs—is packed with practical guidance.
A few verses from Proverbs have been especially impactful for me:
“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17) This verse reminds me of the importance of surrounding myself with good people who challenge me to grow and be better.
“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.” (Proverbs 11:3) This speaks to the crucial role integrity plays in guiding our decisions and shaping our character.
“Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.” (Proverbs 15:22) This verse underscores the value of seeking guidance from wise and knowledgeable people in order to achieve meaningful success.
These nuggets of wisdom have not only shaped my personal development, but also influence how I approach relationships, decisions, and growth in every area of life.
