Meet Tutaleni Ilonga

We were lucky to catch up with Tutaleni Ilonga recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Tutaleni, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My upbringing, I grew up in environment and in a high school where I noticed and witnessed first hand that those who have money and power will always walk over those who don’t have.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
So what I do on a full-time bases is I am a game designer and I do New Business Development and International Relations work when it comes to Edu-Game Namibia, meaning finding International partners to expand our program, currently I am working on a 2d Plat-former game called Maria The Ghost which heavily focuses on mental health, on a part time perspective I do facilitation work, where I teach game design and narrative design to primary and high school students. I am excited how big Edu-Game Namibia and TL Entertainment is growing.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Debating 2. Competitive Nature Mind
3. Never Give Up Spirit

My advice for kids in school is get into as much extra murals activities as possible and learn financial literacy

As for adults network with people, because your network decides your net worth.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
The Biggest obstacle I have faced is learning myself, which is one of the most important ones because I had to be honest with myself to understand where I am coming from and where I need to go, that has been one of the biggest helps within my journey
