We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tyasia Collins. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tyasia below.
Tyasia, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
I’ve never took in the negative energy. Growing up my dad always told me people going to talk about you regardless rather your doing good or bad. When being doubted by many it makes you go harder and want more for yourself just so the haters could have a little more to talk about . Starting my business to now I’ve never really thought about the negative opinions people may have been saying. Staying motivated keeps your head in the positive path to believe you can do this regardless of what someone else says .
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m a 21 year old entrepreneur. I’m currently in college at Rasmussen University for business and management. Im also in the process of taking a class on being a Real Estate Agent. My brand is very important to me we’ve received article interviews , live podcast , as well as a billboard , it’s has been a success and I am proud of my accomplishments granted so far. I have started to add some brand ambassadors connected to my brand to help me first Regina has been apart of my team for a year now she’s attended every photoshoot and she’s a #1 promoter . I recently added a new ambassador Tia to the team she’s great for promoting and helping out businesses I can’t wait to see what she brings and work with her in photoshoots. Hoping to add more to my team as it expands. I also have a clothing brand in motion I’ve been pushing it back for month just due to the fact I would like to drop different style clothing then others!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that I think were most important in my journey would be leadership, creativity, and problem solving. My advice to people starting their journey you can develop these as you grow stronger with your brand. The more you push for your brand the more you will gain strength in your leadership skills. Your different thoughts to your brand that aren’t like others boosts your creativity level and getting through any situation in your builds helps with problem solving.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel overwhelmed I stop and think. When it comes to my business I never rush any moves I may have I don’t care if it’s takes months or years. When I make any move I want it to be the best move . With me having a lot of responsibilities I try to juggle each and make time for them all. Mainly late nights I stay up and think of business ideas and ways to help get it where I want it to be.
