Meet Tyler Scher

We recently connected with Tyler Scher and have shared our conversation below.

Tyler, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

Finding my purpose happened by accident to be honest— at least in the beginning.
I have always had a natural skill for art and drawing as a child, eventually leading me to digital art. My experience then expanded into video editing, videography, photography and a list of other media & marketing skills. The decision to start my own media & marketing company was out of sheer will to create a career based off of what I was already excelling at.

However, I would describe my purpose then, as a lot different than my purpose now. My purpose now is about much more than simply creating a captivating piece of art; It’s about connecting with other people and helping them reach their fullest potential. How can I use my talents to benefit others and improve their lives and business? I’m grateful to say that MediaScher has provided that outlet for me.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’ve dedicated that last 6 years of my life to creating a company that I’m not only proud of, but has brought me so many experiences I never would have thought possible. There’s simply a little bit of mystery that comes along with the business. One day we can be filming at your local coffee shop, the next day we’re taking a trip to Tokyo, Japan to film with Iron Chef Morimoto. The experiences and people we’ve met along the way never cease to amaze me. I say all the time, I love what I do not because I enjoy picking up a camera everyday or sitting at my desk editing a video, but because every project comes with a new experience that keeps my day-to-day unique and exciting.

MediaScher is multimedia marketing agency that empowers visionaries through our commitment to creative excellence. We believe in genuine client relationships that drive positive change in the world, all while helping our clients’ businesses thrive. I believe that we fulfill this promise everyday, and as we’ve continued to grow and expand, our team members embody these expectations. There is so much more that we have yet to do and share, so stay tuned!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The ability to connect with people is arguably the most important skill anyone can have. It’s vital to have the capacity for humility, empathy, and simply relatability. Learn to put yourself in new places and GET UNCOMFORTABLE. Just being “comfortable” will get you a boring life that lacks excitement and substance. The most remarkable achievements were never accomplished by individuals who were “comfortable”. Push the boundaries, take risks, fail over and over again, and eventually your will find yourself achieving something extraordinary. “Success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure”. —Tony Robbins

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

Currently, the same aspirations I have of growth, ignite the same fears I have of failing to grow. When taking your business to a new level, it requires a new level of skills, a new level of money invested, a new level of help from others, and most importantly a new level of belief. As we continue to grow MediaScher, growing pains are undoubtably going to be a challenge to overcome. So, we learn to embrace challenges and face them head on, even through all of the self-doubt or fears. Nothing worth having is easy!
