Hi TyShawn-Chop , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

My purpose was driven by being a young black man who comes from the average black background, but I had to find a way and purpose that just having the average black man’s story. So I created Black Arizona.

Chop is the esteemed founder and proprietor of Black Arizona , as well as the visionary Founder and President of the Black Arizona State Council, both institutions established in 2023 to catalyze transformative change within Arizona’s Black community, people and culture.

At 29 years of age, Chop boasts a distinguished career as a business owner and entrepreneur, with a diverse portfolio of enterprises. His academic prowess is evidenced by his attainment of a college degree in computer technology, alongside expertise in graphic and web design.

Renowned for his adept networking abilities, Chop excels in fostering connections and offering consultancy services, thereby serving as a catalyst for collaboration and knowledge exchange within the business sphere. His unwavering commitment to empowering others in pursuit of success underscores his role as a conduit for facilitating invaluable connections and opportunities for growth.

Chop’s profound love and dedication to the Black community, its people, and rich cultural heritage are palpable in his every endeavor. Through his steadfast actions, he endeavors to emerge as one of the foremost advocates and pillars of support for Arizona’s Black populace. It is his fervent aspiration that his impact transcends regional boundaries, resonating with communities nationwide, and inspiring fellow Black individuals to thrive and flourish.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Honestly there were no qualities and skills that were most important the most important thing was just DOING IT and getting the job DONE.
