Meet Uche

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Uche. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Uche below.

Hi Uche, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from all the people who told me no or attempted to subtract from my journey. I always blame(d) myself when a desired result isn’t reached. Maybe I could have worked harder and that person would have said yes, or polished my vision a little more so it was clearer. Things like that.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am a multi-faceted recording artist documenting my human experience through various mediums, leveraging visuals and music production as a bridge into my world. My purpose is rooted in this so I think that’s what makes it so exciting but I feel as if I act as a mirror to others human experience as well. On the verge of releasing a full body of work, it’s a very exciting time and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Patience, Persistence & Vision. Know where you’re going, trust where you’re going and be committed enough to see it through.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

One of the more memorable foundations to my journey is when I delved into a book called “The Artist’s Way”. A 12 week devotional focused around peeling back the layers to and trusting ones self. The book was just a tool to muddle up the waters but ultimately, you have to trust yourself to really get the ball rolling.
