We were lucky to catch up with Ulrike Feindt recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ulrike , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
It’s been an ongoing journey to be honest, but I guess it started with trial and error after I left school.
I tried a lot of different things that, in retrospect, had some sort of purpose in common but still didn’t fit 100%.
Everything I did had some sort of nurturing quality to it. I always wanted to help people, take care of them.
Whether it was training to be a kindergarten teacher, studying education, running my own catering business, or working as a florist, it all made people’s lives better.
But I didn’t really feel good.
It was not until I started working with the soundbowls and slowly found my way into the world of health and wellness that I felt I was in the right place.
Learning about the power of the breath from my own experience led me to research training and I found my teacher.
Since I started my training I started seeing clients and it didn’t stop, it felt like all the doors were opening.
In 2018 I also discovered Human Design, which changed my whole perspective on how my life should be to use my type of energy perfectly. It felt like someone gave me an instruction manual for myself.
I am more than grateful to be able to guide my own clients and combine the more body-oriented work of breath with the more mind-oriented work of Human Design since I finished my training.
All in all, I feel like I’ve found some things that embody my true potential and purpose and make me feel my work is needed and valued.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My name is Ulrike, I live and work in Berlin, where I was born 34 years ago.
I work as a Breathwork Facilitator and Human Design Analyst, my little business is called SUUN.
My vision with SUUN is to create a safe space for people who need support in any challenging life situation and I create individual plans and concepts for this.
I also manage two well known tattoo artists, I am responsible for bookings and support them with new projects or events.
I love the variety of my work branches and that no day is like the other and that parts of it are working remotely.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1 Experience. I learn mostly from the past, so to understand why things make sense, I have to experience them in the first place.
2 Understanding yourself. Human Design has had a great impact on how I understand myself. By “understanding” I mean knowing how my very individual energy works, how to work accordingly, and how to align myself to put myself in the positions that are beneficial to me.
3 Look at the things that are very uncomfortable. I think sometimes in order to heal from the past we have to look at all the things that are very uncomfortable and ugly without making them our whole identity. And I don’t like to say it or do it, but I think that’s been a big part of my own journey. The more I work with people the more I know that we all have something to look at. And what I also realized is that once you start looking at it, it seems less dangerous and it doesn’t have the same power over you anymore.
I don’t like to give advice, but if I had to give one, it would be to do something to raise your frequency (whatever that is) so that the same frequency comes back to you.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
My biggest obstacle for my own small business is attracting new customers. I’ve always wanted my business to grow organically, and that’s what it’s doing, but sometimes I get frustrated with the visibility I have online and how hard it is to attract a larger group of people.
I feel like Instagram is a very superficial platform and my work requires a leap of faith because people are putting themselves in a very vulnerable situation. That’s why most of my clients come through word of mouth, but sometimes I wish I could just announce a group session and not have to fight for every single person to come.
I still try to trust in the universal timing and that what is meant to be will come my way. I’m also working with people and studios that already have an active community, and I’m sure the visibility will come in time!
