We recently connected with V.f. Molloy and have shared our conversation below.
V.F. , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience was born in the quiet moments when no one was watching—in the stillness when the weight of the world felt unbearable. Rising in the morning even though I wanted to hide under the covers.
It was forged through heartbreak, failure, and uncertainty, shining brightest in my choice to keep going despite it all. I found resilience in every setback that taught me strength, every storm that left me standing, grief that threatened to break me, and every scar that became a testament to my will to move forward.
It wasn’t the absence of failure -it was my refusal to stay down. Resilience wasn’t given to me; I earned it through the unwavering will to fight for my beliefs, even when the path was unclear and broken.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Becoming an author has been a dream quietly blooming in my soul for years. What once felt like a distant hope has become a reality, and holding my book in my hands feels like capturing magic—like holding a piece of my heart brought to life. It’s more than ink on paper—it’s the embodiment of every story I’ve ever held close, every fleeting thought I dared to believe could become something more.
Every sleepless night spent weaving words into something meaningful, every moment of doubt met with the unwavering belief that this dream was worth chasing, has led me to this moment. The journey was never easy, marked by countless rewrites, setbacks, and days when surrender felt inevitable. But every challenge became a stepping stone, every setback a reminder of how deeply this dream was etched into my being.
More than anything, my deepest hope is that one day, someone will read my words and feel the echoes of my heart and soul within them. That my stories will resonate, comfort, or inspire someone the way countless books have done for me. This journey has been long and demanding, but every step has been a symphony of devotion, a quiet promise to myself that no matter how difficult the path, I would see this through. And now, as I share my stories with the world, I know that every moment of doubt, every ounce of effort, has led me to this—a dream brought to life.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I look back and realize I wasted years on the what-ifs, maybes, and somedays. My advice is simple: Start! Don’t waste another second thinking maybe tomorrow. Type it on your phone, scribble it in a dollar store notebook—just do it.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be polished. It just has to begin. Every big dream and every success story starts with one messy first step. Stop waiting for the perfect moment. Start now, and let everything else fall into place along the way.
Ask yourself: is that endless streaming binge session or mindless scroll through social media going to fulfill your dreams? Or will it steal the time you could spend creating, building, and growing? Even if it’s only fifteen minutes a day, that’s fifteen minutes closer to where you want to be.
Personally, once I had the story out of my head and woven before me, I found tools like Grammarly and Atticus incredibly helpful—they offered insights that refined my work without stifling my creativity. But none of that mattered until I took that first step and got the words down.
There will always be excuses, doubts, and distractions, but don’t let them win. Time will pass anyway, so why not spend it building something you believe in? Trust me, you’ll never regret starting. You’ll only regret waiting. So take that leap, however small, and keep going. One step at a time is still progress. Your future self will thank you.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’ve had the privilege of working with genuinely talented creatives since starting this journey.
It felt like divine intervention that the very first voice actress I reached out to was Amanda McKnight. In less than an hour, she responded and recorded a demo of my work—I was sold. Her unwavering passion for voice acting and strong convictions made her the perfect choice to bring my ‘Hours Trilogy’ to life. Her talent is unmatched, and I’m grateful for the depth she brings to my stories. Amanda embodies grace and strength—qualities that deeply resonated with me. If you’re looking for voice talent, do yourself a favor and reach out to her.
I’m also excited to be working with a new author, Mark Elliott. Supporting new authors and helping them showcase their journeys is something I’m truly passionate about—it’s such a wonderful and worthwhile venture.
Shared experiences like these come along once in a lifetime, and I’m so grateful. Storytelling is a powerful, shared experience, and I’m honored to collaborate with remarkable creatives like Amanda McKnight and Mark Elliott. This journey has been nothing short of inspiring.
