Meet VaiBionic

We were lucky to catch up with VaiBionic recently and have shared our conversation below.

VaiBionic , so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
I was beaten and thrown out a five story window, while pregnant in Los Angeles. That’s basically it. I had one child, lost another, just woke from a coma, and had no choice but to heal, and heal properly (whatever that meant).

It was recovery that united me w/painting. Self-taught, I began to exhibit my work on a constant basis since first stepping out in 2022.

The abrasive, yet delicate, approach towards my art has been a catalyst in a journey towards the absolute union of fine art and music. My work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions, and has received critical praise, admiration, and respect due to an unapologetic portrayal of beauty uprooted through my own personal trauma and suffering.

As for my optimism? My optimism comes from having no other recourse than to die. That’s how I’ve lived my life, so that’s how I evaluate it. Ends there.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m a painter. I’ve delved into an abyss of torment, and came upon a goldmine of creative genius.

Yes, really.

I’ve always loved art, but never fully stepped into it, until 2022. Since then, it’s been a whirlwind of a career. How lucky am I to say that?

After suffering an attack, I was bedridden, and learning to heal and recover however I could. The only way for me to express any sort of truth was through painting. Initially, dexterity and hand-eye coordination were my intent. That intent quickly grew into my armor, my voice, my dialogue w/anyone else needing to be heard in some form or another.

I have a lot coming up this year, and announcements are coming. Stay posted.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
There’s one thing, and one thing only. Everything else is a residual effect.

Heal. The knowledge of self.

There’s a reason why we don’t heal, because it’s terrifying. Do it. Take that leap. I dare you. Your priority is to find your source of power. Which will, in turn, keep you in a consistent state of refinement; only becoming a master of your craft.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
My parents let me get myself out of a situation where only I, alone, could escape. Their patience in doing so; that’s the most impactful and best gift I’ve ever been given. I was given a mirror into what it was I’m capable of. Control. They gave me a confident control of my world.
