Meet Valencia Davis

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Valencia Davis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Valencia, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
Growing up I was raised by a single mom who worked hard to take care of my brothers and I. We didn’t have much but I always noticed how we never went without and even if we didn’t have, if someone asked for something from my mother she gave it to them freely with no questions. As I got older I realized that it was because my mom was so giving that we were so blessed. We had alot of mental health issues that run in our family which also caused me to have a great deal of empathy and want more for others, because of these things I am very giving and generous to others.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am extremely passionate about helping others by providing them with the necessary tools to heal so that they can be the most healthy & authentic version of themselves. I grew up fast and I saw a lot throughout my life. I witnessed mental illness, lack of self-love, low self-esteem, drug use, drug dealing, violence, and abuse all in my family. I saw trauma and experienced trauma very young as I lost my father when I was 6 years old, which set the tone for my trauma.

I was determined to heal my heart, and as I got older and began to do my work on my own heart I became passionate about helping others do the same. Fast forward to me being a mom to 7 children (4 boys and 3 girls) and a wife to an amazing man, I realized I needed to be to my children who I needed when I was younger. Once I began to be all of these things to my children I realized there were others that needed it as well.

I extend a diverse range of services tailored to meet individual needs in my practice. From personalized one-on-one sessions and enriching family sessions to dynamic workshops and impactful speaking engagements, my offerings aim to cater to various personal and relational growth aspects. Additionally, I take pride in presenting my signature program, the “Always Win” workshop, as a unique and transformative experience within the spectrum of services provided.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My advice is to always trust the process and never allow anyone to force you to be who you aren’t. I learned early that I am not for everyone and that is ok, it’s not a bad thing, being me is the number one thing I can do without hesitation.

My top 3 qualities have always been empathy, communication and integrity.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing my mother did for me was allowing me to be exactly who I was. It taught me to never change who I am just to please others or just to fit in.
