We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Valeria. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Valeria below.
Valeria , so glad you were able to set aside some time for us today. We’ve always admired not just your journey and success, but also the seemingly high levels of self-discipline that you seem to have mastered and so maybe we can start by chatting about how you developed it or where it comes from?
Discipline, is first and foremost an act of self-love. I grew up with very strict parents who taught me to always aim for a 10, because a 9 was for mediocrity. That upbringing shaped me to value order and control—two of my greatest allies today—because there is nothing more powerful than turning chaos into something measurable and achievable. Over time, I realized that 99% of problems can be solved with discipline: whether it’s losing weight, built a business, earning a degree, excelling in sports, or mastering a new skill. It’s through discipline that I’ve been able to achieve milestones that shaped my journey, such as completing my academic studies at UNAM, UCLA, and HARVARD.
Something that amazes me is that the basics—eating well, exercising, staying focused, not wasting time—may seem simple, but in today’s world they have become a true achievement. For me, discipline is not punishment or rigidity; it is awareness, commitment, and the tool that has allowed me to achieve every goal with clarity and real results.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I was born in Veracruz, Mexico, on September 15, 2000—but I often say that my real life began in August 2022, when I moved to Los Angeles, California. I wasn’t just moving; I was running away from a life I didn’t want to live. Deep inside, I knew that if I didn’t take that leap, I would end up becoming just another face in the crowd. So I left with only a few dollars in my pocket, but a suitcase full of dreams. That decision became the turning point of my life—it was when I chose to take full control and create the life I truly wanted.
Academics gave me the foundation to build upon. I graduated as an accountant from UNAM, the most prestigious university in Latin America. Later, I was accepted into UCLA, the #1 public university in the United States, where I studied Finance, and eventually continued my studies at Harvard in Strategic Innovation. These milestones were meaningful, but when I stepped into the professional world, I faced countless closed doors.
Instead of letting that break me, it lit a fire within me to reinvent myself. I turned toward personal growth and entrepreneurship—investing in books, courses, mentors, and, above all, in expanding my mindset beyond the limits I once believed in. That journey led me to become a financial strategist and private investor, as well as a mentor and coach for people seeking to transform their mindset.
Based on all the knowledge I acquired through those investments in myself, I felt the need to share what I had learned with people who were in the same place I once was. I know firsthand how hard it is to feel stuck in a life you don’t want, and worse, not knowing how to change it because your opportunities and possibilities seem limited. Of course, it’s not easy—and it’s not for everyone—but with the right guidance and the right support, transformation is absolutely possible.
That is why I created a program called PODEROSAMENTE, designed to help people completely reprogram their thinking. My promise is simple but powerful: in less than 90 days, you can transform your life and start building the life of your dreams—because everything begins in the mind.
My greatest strength is the ability to create strategic, results-driven plans while keeping my mind clear from emotions. Discipline is what sets me apart—because I believe there is no success without it. But I also know that nothing changes in your bank account until you first transform your way of thinking. That’s why my mission is to help people reprogram their mindset, strengthen their discipline, and design strategies that lead to real results. True financial freedom doesn’t start with money—it starts with the courage to rewrite your story.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I recognize three qualities that have been decisive in my journey: discipline, mindfulness, and courage. I see discipline as the greatest act of self-love, because it has allowed me to stay focused and organized to achieve every goal—from my academic accomplishments to my professional growth. Mindfulness gives me the clarity to design the plan in my mind, and the strength to bring it into action in the real world, without remaining stuck in ideas. And finally, courage—because none of the above would matter if I weren’t bold enough to take risks on my own plans, always without regret.
To those just starting their journey, I would say: cultivate these three qualities step by step—discipline, even in the smallest actions; mindfulness, to live with clarity and alignment; and the courage to keep moving forward, even when fear or uncertainty is present. The first step won’t take you straight to the result, but it will move you out of where you are. And that’s where transformation begins: by realizing that anything is possible through repetition, over and over again. In the end, the greatest victory is not a single big achievement, but the sum of all the small wins that happen in our everyday lives.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
Without a doubt, the most impactful book I’ve ever read is The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. That book completely changed my mindset, because it was the one that truly awakened my consciousness—it felt as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over me. Even though it’s a small book, it is incredibly valuable. I believe we should always nurture our minds with diverse topics and different authors, because that is what truly educates our thinking and prepares us to make better decisions in daily life, from a more conscious and informed perspective. And to be completely honest, the brain is also a muscle—it needs to be trained just as much as the body does.
One of my favorite quotes from The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy : “Whatever your conscious mind assumes and believes to be true, your subconscious mind accepts and seeks to achieve.”
The magic formula for success is simple:
Conscious thought + genuine feeling + intentional action
