Hi Vanessa, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I’ve been an entrepreneur for over 12 years, and I’ve learned many lessons along the way. One of which is that there will be days where you are unmotivated, those are the days where discipline comes into play. You want the business? You need to take strategic action on the daily that will get you to your ultimate goal. I have seen first hand what happens when you keep your focus, stay committed and are consistent in your messaging to the world in who you are and what you have to offer. You also have to have the courage to keep going even when times get hard. The secret to my success is that I refuse to quit. Those who don’t quit… will inevitabley experience success.
My resiliency also comes from being a single-mother. I am determined to do whatever it takes to provide my son with an abundant and joyful life. That includes having a Mother who will be present, meaning not having to ask anyone for a day off or to be able to leave work early to be with him. But more importantly to provide him with a happy and full-filled Mother. One who loves what she does and loves life. How better to teach my son that he too can build a life he loves, then by walking-the-walk.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a master certified NLP Business Coach and an Award-Winning Social Media Marketing Strategist. I help ambitious entrepreneurs learn how to make large sums of money doing exactly what it is they love to do. With the world literally being at our finger-tips I want to be able to arm entrepreneurs with the tools, beliefs, mindset, strategy and excitement to build the life of their dreams. I want to make running an extremely successful business that brings in huge sums of money, while also providing high degrees of satisfaction and personal freedom their new reality.
So many people go through life working at a job they absolutely hate, just to be able to pay the bills. Is that really living? There are so many opportunities waiting for us if we just had the courage to put ourselves out their in our own unique way. My clients have experienced mind-blowing results they never dreamed was even possible, until they went all in on their dreams.
So how exactly do I help these entrepreneurs? I provide them with an intensive business coaching experience designed to help them execute a results-driven, social media marketing strategy that will enable them to bring in new clients on command.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
One of the qualities that has impacted my journey is trusting in my intuition. Listening to that little voice inside, that gut instinct. I started my business when I lost my job, a couple of weeks later I found out I was pregnant, and once the father found out of the pregnancy, he left me as well. So there I was. No money, no job, no insurance, a baby on the way and completely alone. But for whatever reason, I knew launching this coaching business would work. I didn’t even think about updating my resume and or searching for another corporate job I would hate.
So I put one foot in front of the other and worked as hard as I could for those 9 months trying to start this business.
A skill I had was again one of intuition. I understood from very early on how impactful social media could be as far as marketing was concerned. I just got it. It excited me and lit a fire under me to learn everything I could when it came to this new medium. Inevitably, I was loving what I was doing! A key factor in both my success and my client’s success. You have to love what you do. It can’t just be about the money. That drive will only take you so far.
And finally the knowing that I didn’t know everything. By the fourth year of my business, I was still struggling. I was paying the bills but still struggling. So I finally put my ego aside and decided to get the help I knew I needed. I invested in coaching. That made all the difference in the world. I have worked with a marketing coach, a sales coach and finally was trained in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Timeline Therapy and Hypnosis). I wanted to learn everything I could from other successful women entrepreneurs. I needed to know what they knew and apply those learning to my own business. And BAM that’s when the doors to my business broke wide open. My business started to take off and my clients started to experience real business results they’ve always desired to have.
The best advice I can give to someone who is just starting out is to invest in business coaching as soon as possible. I struggled for four years trying to figure it out on my own. I know now, I’d be much farther in my business had I invested earlier. Invest what you can in the beginning. And make sure you invest in a coach who has provided their clients with real-results.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client tends to be an ambitious woman, who knows she was meant for more.
She has an incredible work ethic and is wanting to make a real difference in other people’s lives through her knowledge and expertise.
A woman who’s expertise has gone undervalued for far too long, and is finally willing to do something about it.
Who is ready to take risks while being supported.
Who understands that investing in herself is the key to leveling up.
Who wants to be seen as the expert authority figure, but has allowed fear and self doubt hold her back for far too long.
Who has complete passion in her profession and is ready to start getting paid BIG for it.
Who knows she can do it, with the help, support and guidance she knows she needs.
Who’s watched others achieve massive success doing exactly what it is she’s dreamt of doing, and now refuses to let another day go by without taking action in writing her own success story.
