Meet Vanessa François

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vanessa François. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Vanessa, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Finding your purpose starts with discovering who you truly are. I began to find my purpose during a season of my life marked by emotional hardship. Taking care of my mental health became crucial for me, as I saw how it affected my daily life and overall well-being. As I progressed, I quickly learned that many individuals face similar hardships but often don’t know how to overcome them. I believe our experiences not only provide us with wisdom but also enable us to share that wisdom with the world. This realization led to the creation of Abso Peace.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Abso Peace is dedicated to helping individuals find peace of mind within their environmental and mental spaces. We currently offer vegan candles that provide clean and healthy burns for your home. As we expand, Abso Peace will focus on promoting healthy routines through home environment practices, meditation, and emotional wellness. Our store will offer products designed to help customers create daily routines that can lift them out of emotional ruts.

As we grow, we are also building a community through our non-profit organization, Clear Your Mind: With Abso Peace, which will be established in Spring 2025. We are currently in development and look forward to creating a safe and supportive space within our community.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three skills that were most impactful in my journey are communication, marketing, and management.

Within communication, you have to build relationships with your customers and also with individuals at events. You learn so much from talking to your customers, especially when you’re the one creating the product. I get to know individuals’ favorite fragrances, and it helps me establish the creation for each candle. Additionally, meeting other entrepreneurs at events is a great way to network.

As for marketing, prior to starting Abso Peace, I was employed as a content creator. In this role, I learned the fundamentals of marketing within brands. Through meetings, I understood what was needed for creators to convey messages to audiences for brand products. I gained valuable insights into promoting on various social media platforms.

For management, I’ve been able to apply organization to each business category, such as financial management, strategic planning, inventory management, and more. My previous work experience helped me establish these skills.

My advice to individuals looking to improve and develop these skills for their journey is to research and find a mentor. We have access to all information online, so you can gather a lot of information about social media. Additionally, finding a mentor can provide guidance and support. This is something I am currently pursuing to aid in the growth of Abso Peace.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am highly interested in partnering with an influential individual who shares the same interest in Abso Peace & Clear Your Mind: With Abso Peace mission.
