Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vanessa Woog. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Vanessa, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
My self-care practices are the foundation of how I live and how I serve others. I prioritize nourishing foods, supportive friendships, and healthy relationships. I weave meditation, yoga, restorative sleep, and stress-management rituals into my daily rhythm, and I spend intentional time in nature and in stillness with myself.
These practices refill my energy and keep me connected to my intuition, so I can meet each day with presence and clarity. They have profoundly strengthened my effectiveness as a practitioner—I am more grounded, compassionate, and attuned. Caring for myself allows me to hold space for my clients with patience, deep listening, and genuine empathy, and to model the balance and vitality I hope to help them cultivate in their own lives.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
At vWellness, I support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, trusting their intuition, and creating nourishing, sustainable habits that honor their whole selves. My work blends evidence-based nutrition with a grounded, compassionate approach that considers the mind, body, and daily life of each individual.
What feels most special about this work is watching clients rediscover their energy, confidence, and inner wisdom. There is something incredibly powerful about seeing someone shift from feeling overwhelmed to feeling grounded and capable. My clients are truly the heart of vWellness—they inspire me every day with their resilience and the unique insights they bring to their healing process.
vWellness is not about rigid rules or one-size-fits-all plans. It’s about meeting each person where they are and helping them uncover what nourishment means for them. Whether someone is looking to boost energy, support digestion, manage stress, or feel more balanced overall, I’m committed to walking alongside them with presence and genuine care.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
When I look back on my path, the three qualities that have had the greatest impact are compassion, deep listening, and self-trust. These have shaped not only how I show up for my clients, but also how I navigate my own growth as a practitioner.
In the early years, I often felt pressure to absorb everything—every new study, every podcast, every emerging trend—believing that more information would make me more effective. While staying informed absolutely matters, I eventually learned that the real magic happens in presence. It’s in the quiet moments of truly listening, creating space without judgment, and meeting someone exactly where they are that the deepest transformation begins.
I don’t come into sessions with a rigid plan. Instead, I allow a client’s energy, intuition, and lived experience to guide our work. Trusting this process—and trusting myself within it—has been one of the most powerful lessons. The more I honor the client’s innate wisdom, the more meaningful and sustainable their progress becomes.
For anyone early in their journey, my advice is to cultivate these qualities alongside your education. Practice listening in a way that makes people feel seen. Build compassion for yourself as you learn. And trust that your presence, authenticity, and humanity will often be far more impactful than any single piece of information you could offer. This combination of knowledge and heart is what truly supports healing.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’m always grateful for opportunities to collaborate, especially with practitioners here in the local Santa Fe community who share a holistic, client-centered approach to wellness. I love exchanging resources, supporting one another’s work, and creating a stronger network of care for our clients. I’m also interested in partnering on retreats—something I’ve enjoyed in the past—where I can cook nourishing, seasonal meals and teach about integrative nutrition. In addition, I’m excited to return to writing and would welcome opportunities to contribute to publications focused on health, lifestyle, or personal transformation. Anyone who feels aligned or inspired to collaborate, please reach out! I’m always open to partnerships that expand our collective impact.
