We recently connected with Vee Mechelle Davis and have shared our conversation below.

Vee Mechelle , first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
Now That’s A Good Question! I Overcame Imposter Syndrome By

1. Recognizing and acknowledging my feelings.

2. Reframe from any and all negative thoughts and focus on my achievements and goals.

3. Seeking support from trusted friends, family and my mentor .

4. Never comparing myself to others.

5. Embracing constructive criticism and feedback it’s good for growth.

6. Always Celebrating my wins and successes, big or small.

7. Being kind to myself and practicing self-compassion.

8. Keep learning and developing my skills.

9. Challenge perfectionism and strive for progress, not perfection.

10. Taking risks and stepping out of my comfort zone.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Geesh Ok ! Well everyone who knows me know that I’m a fashion stylist, I absolutely love all things fashion it’s not just my career it’s deep love for recreating ones image I think that’s what’s more exciting it’s the look on one’s face when they see themselves and they’ve trusted my vision by allowing me to lead. I’m also a TV personality on TLC’s new #1 hit show Extreme Sisters SZN2 2023/2024 is full of surprises I have something very special brewing and it’s going to be AMAZING!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say 1st and foremost my journey Is led by God ! My personality is unmatched I’ll always be myself and by being my true authentic self has opened so many doors for me.

The advice I would give is stay true to yourself never dumb yourself down for anyone, know your worth and stay consistent success doesn’t happen overnight! Most importantly keep knocking on those doors you’ll get a million no’s before you get 1 yes eventually one door will open and offer you a seat at the table and always keep god 1st

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My biggest area of growth has been my ability to create boundaries and stand on them, I’ve learned to protect my peace. I’ve learned that my mental health is important and self love is necessary I’ve also learned that it’s ok to BLOOM ALONE!
