Meet Veeta Dinkins

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Veeta Dinkins. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Veeta below.

Hi Veeta, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Growing up in a small Mississippi town, my family didn’t have much but we also didn’t struggle. My mom was a hard worker, and she instilled that same work ethic in me at a young age.

When I joined the US Army at just 16 years old, I was still a young girl trying to figure out who I was and where I belonged. However, the Army taught me the value of hard work, persistence, and determination like nothing else could.

Throughout my time in the military, I was constantly pushed to my limits both physically and mentally. But, I never let those challenges defeat me. Instead, I used them as fuel to push me even harder. I often found myself waking up before the sun, and going to bed long after it had set. But, I knew that every moment of hard work would be worth it in the end.

From my time in the military, I learned that hard work and perseverance were vital to success. They were the tools I needed to achieve my goals and overcome any obstacle that came my way.

This work ethic has carried over into my civilian life as well. Today, I am a hardworking woman who isn’t afraid to roll up my sleeves and get to work. I know that success doesn’t come easy, and I am willing to put in the hard work to achieve it.

I was taught that success comes to those who are willing to work hard and never give up. And, that is a lesson that I carry with me every day of my life.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Drawing on my experiences as a woman in a male-dominated field in the US Army, I became passionate about helping other women prioritize their needs. I saw how often women put their well-being on the back burner, sacrificing their happiness and health for the sake of their families and loved ones. Determined to make a change, I founded Utopian Paradise – a company dedicated to creating genuinely luxurious and transformative experiences for women.

With over 9 years of experience hosting high-end luxury events worldwide, I have become a master of the art of relaxation. I know exactly what women need to unwind and recharge and am dedicated to providing it. From the moment you step into one of the million-dollar villas, you know you’re in for a unique experience. But not just the luxury amenities that make my experiences so memorable. It’s the care and attention that I put into detail. From carefully curated activities like pilates and yoga to personalized spa treatments, every aspect of the experience is designed to leave women feeling renewed and re-energized.

But perhaps what sets me apart most of all is my passion for building a community of like-minded women. I understand that true personal growth and transformation can only happen in a safe and inclusive environment surrounded by others who share the same goals and values. And so, through Utopian Paradise, I have created a community of women worldwide – women who prioritize their wellness and value care and personal growth above all else.

Through it all, I remain deeply committed to serving others. Whether through my luxury experiences or my work as a wellness and nutrition coach, I’m driven by a desire to help others achieve the same level of happiness and fulfillment that I have found in my own life. And that dedication and passion make me an inspiring figure who embodies the spirit of service and self-care.

Utopian Paradise aims to provide women with the ultimate luxury experience in a safe, inclusive, and transformative environment. The company strives to empower women to prioritize their well-being and personal growth through our carefully curated activities that cater to the mind, body, and soul. The high-end luxury experiences are designed to be immersive, rejuvenating, and unforgettable, leaving guests feeling renewed, re-energized, and ready to tackle the world with renewed vigor.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back at my journey, I would say that three qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge were most impactful in helping me achieve my goals. These qualities include resilience, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.

Resilience, or the ability to bounce back from adversity, was critical in my journey. I had to overcome numerous setbacks, including rejection letters, failed interviews, and financial challenges. However, I was able to persevere and stay focused on my goal. My advice to those who are early in their journey is to understand that setbacks are a part of the process. Rather than giving up, learn from your mistakes and keep pushing forward. With resilience, you can overcome any obstacle that comes your way.

Adaptability was another important quality that helped me navigate through different challenges and changes. As I progressed in my career, I realized that there were different ways to achieve the same results. I had to learn to be flexible and willing to unlearn and relearn new skills. My advice to those starting their journey is to embrace change and always be willing to learn new things. This will help them to stay relevant and be more adaptable to different environments and scenarios.

Finally, having a strong work ethic was crucial in helping me achieve my goals. I was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that I met my targets and delivered quality work. I would work late hours, weekends, and even holidays if it meant getting the job done. My advice to those starting their journey is to develop a strong work ethic and be willing to put in the hard work required to achieve your goals. This means being disciplined, focused, and committed to success.

My journey has taught me that resilience, adaptability, and a strong work ethic are essential qualities to possess if you want to achieve your goals. My advice to those starting their journey is to focus on developing these qualities and never give up on their dreams, no matter how difficult the road may seem. With hard work and dedication, success is always within reach.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
As a hard-working woman, there is no doubt that the book “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead” by Sheryl Sandberg has been one of the most impactful reads in my development. This book is a game-changer for any woman looking to succeed in the workforce and navigate the challenges that come with it.

One of the most valuable nuggets of wisdom I took away from this book is the concept of “leaning in.” Sandberg argues that women often hold themselves back in the workplace by not leaning in and taking risks, whereas men are more likely to do so. This idea really resonated with me, and I’ve found that by leaning in and speaking up more often, I’ve been able to take on more challenging projects and opportunities, and ultimately, achieve greater success.

Another valuable piece of advice from the book is the importance of having a support system. Sandberg emphasizes the fact that no one can do it all alone, and having a supportive partner, friends, and colleagues can make all the difference. This has certainly been true in my own life, and I’ve been fortunate to have a network of supportive people who have helped me to achieve my goals.

Finally, the book also emphasizes the need for women to believe in themselves and their capabilities. Sandberg argues that women often hold themselves back by assuming they’re not qualified or capable enough for a particular role or project. This idea really hit home for me, as I’ve struggled with imposter syndrome in the past. However, by recognizing my own capabilities and focusing on my strengths, I’ve been able to overcome this self-doubt and achieve greater success.

All in all, “Lean In” has been an incredibly valuable resource for me as a hard-working woman looking to excel in the workforce. Through its insights and guidance, I’ve been able to overcome obstacles, take on new challenges, and achieve greater success in both my personal and professional life.
