Hi Vegan & Friends, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

Our optimism comes from knowing that we are doing something good for the community. Black people (and all people) are looking for healthier options. Our event provides easy access to various healthier options from multiple categories. We are making it easier for people to interact with more nutritious options… food, products, and services. This social good is making society better by making people healthier. That’s why we are so optimistic because we know that we are doing good work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Vegan & Friends, Atlanta’s premier vegan night market, is revolutionizing the way we think about health, community, and lifestyle in Atlanta. Every Wednesday, this vibrant event gathers diverse vegan vendors to celebrate plant-based living in one of Atlanta’s food deserts, providing much-needed access to healthy, delicious food options.

Hosted by the renowned vegan rapper and influencer Grey, Vegan & Friends is more than just a market; it’s a movement. Grey, known for his viral “Vegan Thanksgiving” freestyle, brings his unique blend of Hip Hop and activism to the event, creating an atmosphere that’s both educational, entertaining, and social.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Consistency
Creativity
Disruption
Our advice is to not be afraid to be different. Disruption always wins, just be consistent and dedicated to your cause.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

Our ideal client is anyone who is interested in healthier living. Our founder and host, Grey, believes in cool, healthy living for everyone. Everyone deserves to be healthy.
