Meet Venice Wong

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Venice Wong. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Venice, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Hello. First of all thank you Voyage’s Bold Journey for this feature. I am truly honored.
I develop my confidence over the years by being actively involved with onstage live performances with my pop-rock band siblings allowing me to express my passion in music. I am the lead singer and bassist of our band “The Wong Quadruplets” (yes we are quadruplet siblings) and we’ve been doing this since we were 9 years old. Other than this, me and my brothers are also involved with musical theatre since we were 10 years old. Performing a lot onstage whether it’s acting or singing, helped me developed self confidence and reaching a healthy self-esteem.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’ve been acting professionally since I was 10 years old and started my music career at 9. At the age of 10, me and my brothers released our very first single “Summertime” and we were featured to perform our single in a hit show “Kids Say The Darndest Things” hosted by Tiffany Haddish. Our second single is called “Hummingbird” and you can check it all out on all music platform. Me and my band had been performing all over Southern California such as OC fair, Lunar Festivals, Beach festivals, Asian-American expo, YMCA, Youth Festivals the iconic Whisky AgoGo in Hollywood and more. Our next show will be at the OC fair this summer so stay tuned on our Instagram @wong_quadruplets for our upcoming live events schedule. As far as acting, my latest project was a feature film which I filmed in Lynchburg Virginia last April and this is my very first lead role working alongside Nathan Gamble, Kevin Sorbo, Jim Chandler, Jenn Gotzon and Sean Patrick Flanery directed by Todd Sims. The film is called “Miracle on the Precipice” and will be on theaters sometime in 2025. Other than that my other upcoming series is coming soon on Brat TV where I portray the lead role of Natalie. Storyline is that me and my best friend Phoebe tries to help out our friends at Attaway Middle School solve their relationship problems. Other than that, I am also a voice over actor. Some of my favorite character that I lend my voice to are Diva/Grow Girl in LOL House of Surprises and Halvey in “My Dad The Bounty Hunter” on Netflix.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

As far as being an actor, there will be a lot of rejection so having a lot patience, perseverance, and not loosing hope are some of the important mindset an actor should have. Sooner or later, the right role will land in front of you. It’s just a matter of time. You really need to have a strong passion in acting to achieve your dreams. Acting lessons are very important to continue honing your skills. Joining theatre is a great start in becoming an actor. It builds friendship, confidence and helps develop your social skills as a child. As a musician, it is very important to practice, practice, practice your instrument and voice lessons helps me a lot to improve.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

My parents had been my number one supporter in helping me to be in the entertainment and music industry. I wouldn’t be able to do all these without them believing in me. They’ve helped me enrolled to join acting classes, musical theatre, and voice lessons. And as a family band, my parents are always there for us whenever we have live performances as we have to bring all our equipments and music gear. In our music journey we’ve learned how to set up all the instruments ourselves onstage at a very young age. Family support and having the right representation is a huge factor in achieving your dreams of becoming an artist and child actor.
