Meet Veronica Tierra

We were lucky to catch up with Veronica Tierra recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Veronica with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

Oh boy! I started performing when I was very little, and over the years, I’ve developed a deep love for the preparation and rehearsal processes just as much as the performance itself. From a young age, I learned to respect and find meaning in work. As I grew older, I realized that having a clear purpose and mission is the best driving force to move a project forward. My work ethic is all about doing my best to make a difference, whether the task is big or small and whether I’m seen or not. Over time, a strong work ethic becomes a habit that pushes you to the next level if you let it.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a singer and creative spirit! I own an organization that focuses on bringing cultural capital to children through education and entertainment. Our intention is not only to provide fun and entertainment for kids but also to give them access to cultural enrichment. I love that I get to impact young minds! By working closely with the educational systems in Florida and NYC, I realized the need to support so many children and families through the arts. I’ve recently started a scholarship program to ensure every child feels empowered to learn and grow. The nonprofit world is a whole other story! I’m excited about all the people I will connect with to help make a difference in our communities in SWFL and Miami. Besides working with children, I also sing, act, and engage in various performance projects.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are self-motivation, intentionality, and organizational skills. Self-motivation has been crucial in pushing myself forward, especially during challenging times. Intentionality has helped me stay focused. Organizational skills have allowed me to manage multiple projects effectively and stay on top of my responsibilities.

For those early in their journey, my advice is to get clear on your “why.” Understand your purpose and let it drive you. Realize that anything you want is possible and worth the shot!! Why not?!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

YES! I’m always looking for people to partner or collaborate with, especially those who love working with children, believe in the power of the arts, and want to make a difference. Through my organization, we have numerous ways to collaborate with other professionals. Also, our scholarship program offers opportunities for people to volunteer and donate, helping us make a significant impact. If you’re passionate about these causes and want to collaborate, please reach out!
