Meet Veronika Kislukhina

We recently connected with Veronika Kislukhina and have shared our conversation below.

Veronika , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

Creativity is at the heart of everything we do at Flover, and keeping it alive is a constant, intentional process. As floral designers, we find inspiration everywhere—whether it’s in nature’s changing seasons, art, architecture, or even the emotions tied to a special moment. Traveling and exploring different cultures also plays a big role in sparking fresh ideas.

Collaboration is another key. Since there are two of us, Veronika and Alina, we constantly challenge and inspire each other. Brainstorming new concepts together, experimenting with textures and color palettes, and pushing boundaries in floral artistry keeps our work exciting and innovative.

Most importantly, we stay connected to our clients’ stories. Each wedding or event is unique, and bringing those personal narratives to life through flowers fuels our passion. Seeing the joy our creations bring reminds us why we started Flover in the first place, and that emotional connection keeps our creativity thriving.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At Flover, we don’t just design floral arrangements—we create experiences that tell a story, evoke emotions, and turn moments into lasting memories. Our journey started in December 2021, when we, Veronika and Alina, combined our decade-long expertise in floral design with a shared vision to bring something truly special to the wedding and event industry. Having honed our craft in Eastern Europe, we brought our passion to the U.S., where we’ve built Flover into more than just a floral design studio—it’s a creative space where flowers become art.

What makes our work so exciting is the ability to transform spaces and bring our clients’ dreams to life. Every couple, every celebration is unique, and we approach each event with fresh eyes and an open heart. We’re constantly exploring new design techniques, color palettes, and floral installations to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Whether it’s an intimate wedding, a grand celebration, or a corporate event, our goal is always to create breathtaking designs that leave a lasting impression.

One of the things we’re most proud of is our ability to blend artistry with personalization. We take the time to understand our clients—their love stories, their personalities, their visions—so that every floral piece feels deeply meaningful. Seeing the joy, the tears, and the awe on their faces when they see our designs is the most rewarding part of what we do.

Looking ahead, we’re excited about expanding our services to offer even more immersive floral experiences. We’re currently working on new large-scale installations, collaborating with other creatives in the industry, and planning for an even bigger year of stunning events. As Flover continues to grow, our commitment remains the same: to craft floral designs that don’t just decorate a space but transform it into something magical.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Stress Resistance & Adaptability
The event industry is fast-paced, and things don’t always go as planned. Whether it’s last-minute changes, unexpected weather conditions, or logistical challenges, staying calm under pressure is essential. We’ve learned to embrace challenges as part of the creative process, quickly adapting and finding solutions without compromising on quality. Advice: Develop resilience by staying organized, practicing mindfulness, and learning to trust your instincts. The more experience you gain, the more confident and composed you’ll become.

2. Artistic Vision & Attention to Detail
Floral design is more than just arranging flowers—it’s about storytelling through color, texture, and composition. Having a strong artistic eye and a deep understanding of floral aesthetics allows us to create unique, breathtaking designs that truly elevate an event. Advice: Study art, fashion, and interior design for inspiration. Experiment with different styles, and don’t be afraid to take creative risks. The best designs come from pushing boundaries and thinking outside the box.

3. Strong Client Communication & Relationship Building
Understanding a client’s vision and translating it into reality is an art in itself. Being able to listen, communicate clearly, and build trust is just as important as the creative aspect of our work. Our ability to connect with clients on a personal level has been a huge factor in our success. Advice: Hone your communication skills by asking thoughtful questions, setting clear expectations, and always prioritizing transparency. Happy clients will become your best advocates and bring you long-term success.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Absolutely! Collaboration is at the heart of what we do at Flover. We are always open to partnering with brands, wedding venues, wedding planners, photographers, event designers, and any other creatives who share our passion for artistry and storytelling through flowers. Whether it’s a styled shoot, an immersive floral installation, or an unforgettable event, we love finding new ways to merge floral design with other creative visions.

If you’re reading this and would love to collaborate, we’d be thrilled to connect! You can reach us through our website or social media—we’re always excited to explore fresh ideas and create something truly special together.
