Hi Versell, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I was able to find my purpose through the self love of everything I do in general, staying consistent with the skills that I excel with, and knowing that with those same skills I am able to help others in their paths of life as well. Some passions and purposes will just come to us as we are going about our days, but I believe its truly the things that continue to come back no matter how long they may be absent for that’s meant for us to live by. In this case, I made it my purpose to be an independent recording artist, influencer, brand marketer, dancer and fitness athlete along with more to come. The fact that I am able to switch skill sets and inspire others with them is a great blessing in itself. These are all skills that I never said I was going to do when I first started trying things out, but overtime they all have been apart of my current success to this day.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I started as a professional dancer, which then lead into becoming a recording artist over time. Throughout the growth period as an artist, the path of gaining experience as a media marketing manager became inevitable from creating content to promote myself as “VERSEatyle” as an independent service/brand. During my earliest period of showcasing my talents and services, I then enrolled under a parent organization that was able to teach and guide me on what goes on in the back end of social media when it comes to financial literacy and opportunities from marketing. From this point, I was able to work with over 50 brands/companies with different partnerships and negotiations which lead the “VERSEatyle” brand what it is today. Happy to be of service.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Patience, confidence, and consistency are some of the top qualities that carried me til this point. I definitely had my patience challenged and tested throughout time, especially when it comes to getting feedback from people and the results needed during an initial release, and making sure my craft is perfected and unrushed before being released to the public properly. Confidence also plays a big roll with my journey because I have to have a “knowing” that things will all come together as I’m building up and becoming more successful. If everything that I did was “easy” for example then everyone would be trying to pursue multiple accolades at once, without the fear of failure. I also just look at things as if God/Creator/Universe gave me with the tools to be a provider, then I will be blessed with people that would love to be provided to. Lastly consistency is one of the top qualities that have been the most impactful to me because there are bunch of moments where people would like to drop everything they’re doing and quit on themselves. I myself am a victim of this too. What keeps me going through those times is loving the work I’m doing, while I’m doing it. There will always be a moment where I am concentrated on a task and will discover a moment of glee while executing the work towards a goal. Important to always continue!
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am definitely interested in collaborating with more recording artists, producers, brands, dancers, fitness athletes, and more! My journey has been very independent, I dont have any partners that I currently work with, I do all my own editing, managing, recording, training and all of that. One of my future goals would actually be to work with other upcomers and form a super group of some sort but I myself would like to have more energy and success around me to curate that into a reality. For the most part I’m open to working with others who have the experience, drive, and wisdom on their own behalf, so when we combine forces we embrace all of our attributes for the best results possible.
