Meet Versy Picone

We recently connected with Versy Picone and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Versy, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

Through the vibrant world of music and makeup, I embarked on a transformatie journey of my own as a teen to find my voice and purpose. In the realm of beauty, I discovered my true passion for empowering others, sharing the gift of glam that instilled confidence in those I worked with. My love for crafting melodies and lyrics became a powerful extension of this mission, allowing me to uplift and inspire through my words. With a vision of helping fellow stylists thrive, I then opened The Beauty Lab rental suites, creating a community where creativity and collaboration could flourish. Now, it’s my mission not only to teach them the art of their craft but also to empower them with essential financial literacy skills, ensuring they succeed in their own businesses while giving back to the community through events that nurtures and empowers us all.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

As an accomplished artist and songwriter, as well as a celebrity makeup artist and owner of a rental suites, my journey has been profoundly shaped by my personal experiences and challenges. Battling insecurities throughout my life, I discovered the transformative power of makeup and glamor, realizing how deeply they could impact people’s self-esteem and emotional well-being. With my diagnosis of PCOS, a ruptured appendix, and the unfortunate experience hormones causing me to lose my eyebrows, I became acutely aware of the benefits of permanent makeup and makeup, finding it to be a genuine lifeline in reclaiming my confidence and then how I could help others as well with my skills. Additionally, overcoming bullying in my youth led me to seek solace in music and the art of songwriting, where I found my voice and strength. Inspired by my journey, I am passionate about mentoring emerging stylists, empowering them to become their own bosses and instilling in them the importance of financial literacy for sustainable success in their businesses. My personal brand has now evolved to not only encompass makeup artistry but also to focus on teaching community members how to master their own makeup techniques and guiding stylists on their paths to financial independence and retirement planning. With a new single slated to release in the next few weeks I am paving the way for my own legacy with a tale of resilence. Through music and makeup, I strive to spread a positive message that resonates deeply, serving as a universal language that connects us all.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Acting on faith- i have always believed that things I was doing would just work out somehow because I felt it was a calling. I always encourage people to put their plans in motion that idea that’s always been there could be the seed that will change their life. The only difference between them and another person with an idea is the other person who equally who had no idea of what they were doing took the steps to just get started.
Not being afraid to fail- you just have to put yourself out there and keep trying. A failure is not a loss but a lesson, an opportunity to make something better.
Supportive circle- i have always been the one uplifting others which is great but you have to know when to fill your own cup up as well. If you don’t pour back into yourself you can never fully put energy into your own projects. The best way to help others is to teach them the skills to be successful.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

The ideal client is someone who understands the value of the relationship, expertise and knowledge an amazing MUA/Permanent Makeup Artist will bring to the experience but their life as well. I want people to look back on pictures, memories, videos and have that same feeling of confidence and joy in how they looked, how it made them feel. As far as music fans I attract people who love positivity, creativity and pushing boundaries. Never giving up and loving feel good music
