We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Victor Heliodor a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Victor with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My mother. From a young age I learned to be independent, to never give up and if I want something I have to earn it. As a teenager I decided to leave my hometown and move to Stockholm, nobody tried to stop me but I had to be ready to support myself. When I finished high school a few years later I moved to London. It was easy as I was used to taking care of myself.
My parents never told me what to do but I’ve always had to take full responsibility for my choices.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
A few years ago I opened up a modeling agency here in LA, with an office in Beverly Hills. We fly in international fashion models to work in LA and we also scout local new faces and get them contracts to work in other markets.
Now we are looking for one more agent to join the team.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
– to never give up, if something is difficult you just have to work harder – to always question what you can do better, how to improve
– to listen and learn from others who you trust and respect
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
We are looking for one more agent to join our team. Someone who works hard and wants to work in the fashion industry. To succeed with us you have to be the kind of person who takes action, you can’t sit and wait for something to happen.
