Meet Victor Rendon

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Victor Rendon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Victor below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Victor with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I remember growing up in an environment where nothing ever came free. We didn’t have much growing up. I started working at age 11 with my stepfather. He worked on a chicken ranch performing all of the diesel needs for the equipment on the ranch. The equipment ranged from tractors to 18 wheelers. I learned how to place an axle on a jack stand and use a 1″ impact gun on the lug nuts and remove the tires off of the trucks. I would then let the air out of the tire, and break the bead of the tire. Then take two long bars, a hammer, and some soapy water and switch out old tires on the rims with new tires. Fill the tires up with a balance mix and fill them with air to the needed psi level. Place the tires back on the truck or trailer and tighten them to specs. I would repeat this process with 30-36 of these tires throughout the day. When I was old enough to play high school football at Beaumont High in Beaumont, California, I had practice during the summer after performing those tire replacements in the heat all day. This taught me early that work ethic will set anyone apart from the crowd.

Throughout high school I worked with my stepdad, at Polo Ralph Lauren, and other various jobs while playing football. Out of high school, college wasn’t for me. I struggled for a little while. I wasn’t working full-time until I started at Napa Auto Parts as a delivery driver. I worked my way up a few roles in the course of a couple of years, and worked as hard as I could to learn at every opportunity.

The time came when I figured out life a little more. I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I decided to serve a full-time mission at 22. I served two years in the Arizona sun as a missionary for the Arizona Tempe Mission. This taught me work ethic. In several areas, I would bike 30-40 miles a day in slacks, shirt, and tie. I loved it. I had already learned work ethic at an earlier age, but I learned how to have a smile while working as I served the Lord.

I returned home from the mission and married my wife, Amanda in 2016. I started school and worked a salary position for almost half of the four years. We did several projects during this time including, selling a house, buying a house, taking out a pool ourselves, and having a kid. I also held several church callings during this time that placed added demand.

I only know work and work ethic.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Home Staging & Consultations

We offer two ways of helping your property prepare for the audience of potential buyers. We offer home staging consultations and full home staging packages. Whether you are furnishing the property with your own personal furniture & decor, or you need us to set up a property for you, we are your team of professionals.

Home staging consultations are meant to help homeowners identify how to clean, declutter, and depersonalize their property and prepare it to be listed on the market while they still reside in it. We will consult, advise, and provide a detailed report of steps to help your property stand out and appeal to buyers.

Our full home staging packages activate the properties potential and present the future possibilities for buyers. Our team of professionals will show up to your property ready to measure, photograph, and select the rooms that will be staged. We will create a floor plan that will host selected inventory and we will install the items to your home on a desired date.

Airbnb Design and Install
We offer full rental designs and installs to private investors and homeowners. Whether this is your first investment property, or you want someone to own the process of making an unfurnished unit turn key ready for guests, we handle the full process. We work with various vendors for housekeeping, photography, landscaping, and remodeling companies to help complete this process and we will ensure that these changes occur within the time estimated. Space Launch will own this onboarding process from consultation to turnkey experience.

Floor plans and Measurements
Whether you are a property management company, designer, or homeowner, creating an Airbnb or rental space relies on having a floor plan. Knowing the dimensions of your project is critical. We offer property floor plans with dimension measurements through an AutoCAD rendition. Our design assistant will walk the property and notate the floor dimensions for all rooms of the property and return a floor plan rendition quickly for a flat fee.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say relatability, common sense, and calmness create a perfect environment for growth. When you are working in an environment without being able to relate to others, it can be difficult to understand where people are coming from and what they are going through. I am a large believer in getting to know the people you hire and work with. I want every individual to be themselves and not have to hide their feelings, belief system, and way of life. I want to relate to them and build rapport with them.

Common sense is now a quality and skill in the work place. It used to be an unwritten aspect of the work day, now it is not so common. I need to have common sense and if it doesn’t come immediately, then sometimes I need to think it through.

Calmness is a life saver. The world is so anxious and emotionally based. If you are the most calm in the room, in any setting, you will be able to navigate teams through difficult times, allow for everyone to be heard, and be respected for not wavering in presentation. This has been very impactful in my career. If you have a client that is irate and something went wrong, it is important to balance the mood out. Calmly respond to their needs and deescalate the situation. If it is a co-worker, bring the emotion down by your responses and give calm feedback. Workplaces tend to perform better when everyone is calm.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
Our largest contributor to our business is the furniture installations service we provide. We work with numerous property management companies in the Phoenix Valley performing their onboardings for new properties in their portfolio they manage. We tailor this service to their needs, sometimes it is only furniture buildouts, sometimes everything from unboxing, assembling, mounting, and placing all items in their set spots. We do it all. This helps create steadiness in the calendar and has proven to be our bread and butter. We are always looking to meet and exceed the scaling needs of our friends and partners in the property management portion of the Valley.

We have also found that a large percentage of Airbnb design and installations that we place bids for is desirous of a 30 day turnaround from start to finish. We have completed a few of these in the last year. We love working with people that are within numerous budget brackets for these projects. We establish realistic expectations and uphold them.

Our most ideal client is anyone who is looking for high output in a home staging or furniture installation service. We range in our services depending on our clients and their situations. I reach out to people of every audience, buyer, seller, renter, etc. Our ideal client is anyone who needs help launching their property from point A to point B.
