Meet Victoria Beasley

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Victoria Beasley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Victoria with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I am just motivated to be someone in this life. I am driven to give my daughter a stress fee , fun and educational life . I’ve never liked asking others for help , so ive always gone 10x harder to make sure i have what i want/ need.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a 23 year old Mom and Chef. I am from DTX born and raised . I am Mixed with Black & Sri Lankan , My grandma on my dads side is Sri Lankan and she is where i get my cooking skills from & my ability to use such powerful herbs and spices. Growing up I was always in the kitchen with my grandma whether we were cooking at home or at her job.

Growing up i was in theatre for a while and slowly started to discover my culinary abilities in highschool . I love to create and cooking just gives me full fledge control to create whatever it is i desire.

Other than cooking I love love love going to the gym , I am definitely a gym rat and take my gym time SUPER seriously. It helps keep me grounded and focused on the goal & it also helps me carry Pound and pounds of groceries upstairs lol

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three Major Qualities that are impactful for my journey is first Faith , you must be so deep rooted in your faith that nothing can stray you away from your goal . It will get hard , extremely hard to where you want to quit but your faith is what will help you preserve through the hard times. Second is discipline , because without being disciplined you will never accomplish your goal , up must stay the course NO MATTER WHAT! Third is Confidence, being confident in yourself and in what you can do will take you far . You just have the I CAN mindset at all times because if you can , you will . Words are powerful so always speak positivity into yourself.

The best thing you can do to improve your personal traits is to find out what deep core problems you have that makes you feel discouraged or doubtful about yourself . Take your self care seriously and pour into yourself. Surround yourself with likeminded positive people.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

A few good reads are “Healing Your Lost Inner Child” which talks about actually doing the work to find out what deep rooted obstacles you may be facing that is keeping you from reaching your full potential. “The 4 Agreements” which gives you 4 different practices to practice in your daily life to help lower stress and just generally improve living . And one more is “Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff” which talks about literally not letting small things get to you which generally affect the bigger picture.
