Victoria , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my mother. She has always showed me what a hard working woman was and is supposed to be. She always works hard and takes pride in the things she does.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a nail technician! I make art on people’s hands and help them express themselves. I help them express themselves by colors and art. I work alone and I run everything by myself. My brand is called nailsbyvangogh.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I’d say the skills I use the most is really my imagination and creativity. I use my brain to make designs for nails. The knowledge I knew was how to do nails a little bit all ready but it was still a learning process along the way. My advice to people is to never give up no matter how hard it is. Everything will slowly fall into place.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
My mom is the one who helped me the most. She never gave up on me and my abilities. She always let me practice on her no matter how much of a mess it was. She always helped promote my business.
