Meet Victoria Voos

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Victoria Voos a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Victoria, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Well first let’s talk about why I didn’t have the best self-esteem or confidence growing up.

I have been plus size my whole life and I definitely had a lot of issues with my body being criticized as a kid. I was forced to diet and exercise for weight loss at a young age which negatively my relationship with my body. In addition to my personal experiences I grew up in the 90’s and early 2000’s where fat people were made fun of or completely ignored in mainstream media and pop culture. All of these things really effected my mental health an self image.

As an adult and the birth of Instagram I had a whole new way to connect with people, people who looked like me and had the same struggles as I did. I started to post and have a little corner of the internet where I could cultivate a positive and supportive community of plus size babes!

Now I am in such a better place with my body image and my confidence is through the roof. It wasn’t an overnight thing, it’s something I really had to work on, and still work on all the time. I credit my friends and the people I surround myself with helping stay on the right path as well as lots of therapy!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hi there, I’m Victoria! I’m a full-time social media manager and a part-time plus size blogger and content creator! As you can probably tell I was born in the right time because I live and breathe social media.

I started my own social media journey back in 2019 and it has been the most amazing and fulfilling thing. I get to use my social media marketing knowledge to help brands with their social media presence and grow their brand. On my own pages I focus on plus size fashion, lifestyle and Psoriasis, all with a side of humor.

If you’re ever interested in some 1:1 social media coaching please reach out, I love helping other creators and brands with all things social media!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Taking courses and doing research on social media was absolutely crucial to my journey. I’m also someone who enjoys attention and interacting with other people which is an important part about social media. Lastly I would recommend surrounding yourself with people who have similar goals or who will support you with yours!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am always open to collaboration, whether that be a brand or another creator. I’m available for coaching and consulting or as a content creator. Please reach out to me via Instagram or email – [email protected]
