Meet Vikki Johnson

We recently connected with Vikki Johnson and have shared our conversation below.

Vikki, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I wholeheartedly believe my work ethic comes from the example set by my parents as well as years of playing team sports.

My first official team sport was basketball in the sixth grade. Over the years the long hours of practice, sacrifice of social activities and discipline paid off. I attended Howard University on a full basketball scholarship.

My high school coach instilled in me that determination and hard work pay off.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a transformationist. While it was not my intent to become one, I am committed and passionate about helping women over 45 rebuild, rebrand and restore the second half of their lives. I teach what I have learned through experience and training.

Through the Soul Wealth Academy, I mentor other women leaders. It truly is my joy. Additionally, I share Soul Wealth as a speaker, author and host of “The Soul Wealth Radio Show,” a daily podcast on all podcast platforms.

I also deeply enjoy my 45+ years in entertainment and media. I’ve had an amazing journey. Currently I am in the film industry supporting filmmakers when they come to the Washington, DC area.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back the three key qualities that have been impactful in my journey are (1) listen to understand not to be understood; (2) stay curious so you can grow; and (3) build genuine relationships.

Personal development opportunities are all around us. Pay attention to everything.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed I turn to nature. I either get near water (preferably the beach), go hiking, take a sound bath (yes I am a sound healer), go outside in the sun or stand in the grass barefoot. If I can’t do any of the above, I simply take a nap LOL!
