We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Villa Dom a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Villa, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
As you read this right this moment I challenge you to channel an emotion or special feeling you felt for the first time and it made a deep impact on your life (a beautiful one of course)… I’ll give you a few seconds to think about it.
I have come to learn to think of creativity and keeping my creativity alive by trusting that each creative experience offers me a chance to live an evolve part of myself through different mediums of my creations. In essence when something is created it either has an affect on the way we feel or may alter or enhance the process of doing something. Take for example the creation of the microphone to capture voice or your favorite song that offers you something more than the medium it was delivered on, but the goose bumps you get when you hear that said song at a certain volume and knowing when your favorite lyric is coming up; that’s all apart of someone’s creation.
In my own experiences creating music, there has been no greater feeling then when a person shares what a song may have inspired them to do that has has some powerful affect on their life’s. It is moments like this when someone I do not know at all is somewhere in Australia, Belgium, Africa or even somewhere in the middle of Ohio, is taking time to absorb something I created and most importantly; was given the talent as well as resources to complete such creations.
So if you would allow me to, let me offer the gift that keeping creativity alive gives me. That is enjoying and experiencing life so that you are inspired to contribute your greatest creations. As we evolve from childhood and grow into adulthood creativity should grow with us, not be left dormant at our High School graduations. Keep creation alive!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
When it comes to the art and the culture of Hip Hop, Artists may participate but there are very few that truly contribute and care for the continued growth of Hip Hop. When we speak about Artist better yet, MC’s when it comes to Villa Dom’s case; he has seen a rise or two in his career thus far, but this one is due to the solid business dealings he has been involved with or inspired for his Multimedia company LVP Media LLC.
As we build with Villa Dom today we find him in a space where he is scheduled to release his 5th independent Studio Album release “Raw Dosage” entirely produced by his producer and business partner Madd Mann of Fifth Quarter (Via Canada). The sound these two have been cultivating extends over a few decades and have given the audio world some unexpected heaters coming from their side of the HipHop collective.
Villa Dom is considered to be a Multimedia Hip Hop Artist, Writer, Author, Publisher and Graduate of Full Sail University with a Bachelors in Entertainment Business. He is also one half of the Marketing HipHop duo The Office Boys NY. Aside from his new release “Raw Dosage” scheduled to be released later this month, he released several albums. His Debut Album “Tell the World I’m Coming”, “Mr. Briefcase”, “Duffle Bag Thoughts “,”KingDom ” and now “Raw Dosage”; he has made it clear that he is a scholar and contributor to HipHop Culture.
Villa Dom’s music career is a powerful ride of true independence, penning songs and closing deals for not just himself but other artists of multiple genres both major and independent. Building an extensive music catalog of his own he also programs radio shows, directs media projects and does music consulting for several brands & Artist. Villa Dom continues to be an unseen force to be reckoned with. I think his music does a good job of conveying who he is as an artist.
I don’t think Hiphop is dead the way this MC throws lines and creates. Don’t take our word for it, check out some of his latest singles like “Block Thesis”, “You Know the Rules”, “Baby 380” and a few more on your favorite streaming platforms. Hip Hop breathing comfortably when you listen to Villa Dom. #ONTHERISE

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three most important qualities, Skills or areas of knowledge I would say is necessary publishing, marketing and financing. The three that I mention have all made me become more efficient in my business and is allowing me to position myself closer to our company goals.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Currently, our goal is to partnership with more licensing companies to obtain more solid placements throughout the different forms of media, i.e. Television, Games, Movies and Wb Series. One of our new campaigns and we are looking to connect with innovative Marketers, Concert promoters as well as media to further the reach of the projects bass
