Meet Vincent A Thomas

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vincent A Thomas. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Vincent a , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I wasn’t always resilient. Truthfully is simply by the grace of God that I’ve even made it this far and that’s the honest truth. what you see now is still a work in progress on the outside I may seem resilient. I may seem confident determined, but truthfully I’m scared I take it day by day just like the next person. The thing that keeps me moving even in the midst of fire and uncertainty is knowing that I serve a God who does not fail who cannot fail. If people honestly knew how many times I was just one bad situation from quitting and having to be reminded that I I’m in this moment on purpose understanding that even sometimes bones have to break to get stronger. Gold has to go through fire to be pure if I come off as resilient, it’s simply because I know without a test there’s no testimony.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Outside of pursuing modeling and acting and doing my best to be a husband and a father and support my family. I have to say my first and biggest passion is studying the word of God and helping others understand it the way it was intended by the interpretation of the spirit as well as teaching martial arts, which I have my own program where I work with kids not only discipling them and martial arts, but discipling them in the word. It’s not always easy or exciting, but when I see you, people grow in their confidence not only in their abilities physically but spiritually. That’s a joy That’s really hard to explain My brand is simply that I’m a man of God before anything

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Well first quality I would say is seek God I know it sounds easy but it’s not always but the simple fact is without God at the center no matter how much you gain it. It may fill the void for time but it still amounts to nothing in the end.

The next bit of advice that I would give have people around that are really going to hold you accountable. Keep your circle small. Not everybody that calls you friend or family is actually friend or family. There are going to be many people who care more about what you can do for them then actually just seeing you succeed.

And lastly, if you’re going to quit quit before you start, there’s no point in climbing the mountain. If you’re only going to quit once you’re already close to the top or halfway up, that’s the point of a journey. It’s one step out of time but no one quits at the top of the mountain.

What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?

Honestly, I say both having strengths are great things that you’re good at that. You know you’re good at. It’s always a great thing and playing those to your advantage will always help you. But the truth is perfection doesn’t exist but progress does even things that you’re good at you can always be better and developing new skills can only in the end make you a better person open up more opportunities for things that you wouldn’t have originally The simple fact is if I stayed who I was if I got hung up on the things I couldn’t accomplish instead of understanding I can learn these skills then I wouldn’t be who I am today 6 months ago I would have never thought that I would be doing acting and modeling and teaching kids martial arts 6 years ago. Never thought I would be preaching to people but here I am. So yes, my answer is both use what you’re strong at, but don’t be afraid to grow and learn new skills or improve skills that you could be better at
