We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Vy Wynn. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Vy below.
Vy, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
My name is Vy Wynn. Inspired by the Creator, I channel my creativity and passion toward my goals and dreams. I believe in the spiritual realm, where all creation begins—in the imagination of our minds. My core image is my source of strength, resilience, persistence, faith, perseverance, and peace. I am bold and courageous.
One significant challenge I overcame was imposter syndrome. Early in my journey, I often doubted my abilities and felt like I didn’t belong in certain spaces. However, through faith and introspection, I learned to see these doubts as opportunities for growth. Armed with the shield of faith and the armor of God, I learned to protect my mind—the sacred place where all creation and manifestation start.
My legacy endures through the impact of my creations, which enhance the well-being of businesses, communities, real estate, foundations, and philanthropic endeavors. This is my anthem, my purpose, and my defense against negativity.
By continuously drawing on my core strengths and reaffirming my faith, I fostered resilience and persistence. This journey of self-discovery and empowerment has made me an overcomer, a truth revealed to me in my dreams. I am Vy Wynn.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is how I overcome imposter syndrome! Never forget who you are. The only way to overcome anything is to know yourself.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I co-founded the first-ever Vietnamese Restaurant and Lounge in the world offering pho and hookah. We are called Who Wanna Pho and are located in the heart of Little 5 Points, Atlanta, GA. I am the Co-CEO and General Manager, and I love connecting with our customers every day. It’s special in every aspect, both personally and professionally.
Our restaurant blends traditional Vietnamese cuisine with a modern lounge experience, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. The combination of pho and hookah is not just a novelty; it’s a fusion of cultures and experiences that brings people together. I find it exciting to see how our concept resonates with diverse communities, fostering connections and creating memorable experiences.
What makes Who Wanna Pho particularly special is the attention to detail in both our menu and ambiance. We use authentic recipes and high-quality ingredients to ensure that every bowl of pho is a genuine taste of Vietnam. At the same time, our lounge area offers a relaxing space where people can unwind, enjoy hookah, and socialize. This dual experience sets us apart and keeps our customers coming back.
In addition to our core offerings, we are continually innovating and expanding. We host various events, such as live music nights, cultural celebrations, and community gatherings, which have become popular attractions in Little 5 Points. We are also planning to launch new menu items and expand our catering services to reach more people beyond our immediate location.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is seeing the impact of our restaurant on the community. We have become a local favorite, and it’s heartwarming to know that we are part of people’s lives and celebrations. Additionally, our philanthropic efforts, including partnerships with local charities and community programs, reflect our commitment to giving back and making a positive difference.
Overall, Who Wanna Pho is more than just a restaurant; it’s a vibrant community hub where culture, food, and camaraderie intersect. I am passionate about continuing to grow our brand, enhance our offerings, and connect with even more people. Whether you’re coming in for a comforting bowl of pho, a relaxing hookah session, or one of our special events, we strive to provide an exceptional experience that embodies the spirit of Vietnamese hospitality.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been curiosity, courage, and connection.
Curiosity: Curiosity has always driven me to explore new ideas, cultures, and opportunities. It was my curiosity that led me to experiment with the unique concept of combining pho and hookah, which ultimately became the foundation of Who Wanna Pho. For those early in their journey, I encourage you to cultivate a sense of wonder and openness. Never stop learning and asking questions. Explore different fields, understand various perspectives, and be willing to step out of your comfort zone. This will not only expand your knowledge but also spark innovative ideas that can set you apart.
Courage: Courage is essential in pursuing your dreams and overcoming obstacles. Starting a business, especially one with a unique concept, requires taking risks and facing uncertainties. There were times when fear of failure or rejection could have held me back, but I chose to be brave and push forward. My advice is to embrace fear as a natural part of growth. Don’t let it paralyze you. Instead, use it as motivation to move ahead. Take calculated risks, learn from your failures, and remain resilient. Courage will help you navigate challenges and seize opportunities with confidence.
Connection: Building genuine connections has been crucial for personal and professional growth. The success of Who Wanna Pho is largely due to the strong relationships we’ve built with our customers, employees, and the community. Connection fosters trust, loyalty, and a sense of belonging. For those starting out, focus on networking and building meaningful relationships. Engage with your community, seek mentors, and collaborate with others. Listen actively and show empathy. Strong connections will provide support, open doors to new opportunities, and create a solid foundation for your endeavors.
In summary, fostering curiosity, embracing courage, and building connections have been instrumental in my journey. For those beginning their own path, I encourage you to be curious, brave, and connected. These qualities will guide you through challenges, inspire innovation, and help you build a fulfilling and impactful career.
