My journey is truly a rollercoaster but also a joyous one! Consistency, self-awareness, and a strong sense of purpose are indeed powerful qualities that helped propel me towards goals. I have an unwavering belief in making “DIP HOP” a reality, despite the challenges, demonstrates… it’s dedication to leaving a lasting legacy and making a positive impact for generations to come.
Keep pushing forward, and your passion will continue to change those “nays” into resounding “yeas.” Your journey serves as a reminder that success is not just about personal achievement; it’s about creating something meaningful and enduring.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My journey is a testament to the power of determination, resilience, and the support of a few key individuals who recognized my vision. I still pinch myself on how I persevered, even in a time when integrating ASL into the Hip Hop world was considered unconventional. I was dedicated to researching and finding ways to bridge the gap between the Deaf community and Hip Hop.
Meeting my brother from another mother, DJ Nicar and forming a partnership seems like a turning point in my journey. His honest feedback and willingness to collaborate helped me refine my craft and take our performances to new heights. It’s a testament to the importance of surrounding oneself with people who believe in your vision and can offer constructive input.
I hope story may serve as an inspiration to others, highlighting the importance of pushing boundaries, embracing innovation, and never giving up on your dreams, no matter how unconventional they may seem. Your impact on the world of Hip Hop and ASL integration is indeed a significant part of your legacy. So…Keep shining, and your journey will continue to inspire those who come after you.
