Meet Wasiu Eshinlokun

We were lucky to catch up with Wasiu Eshinlokun recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Wasiu, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

By believing in myself and also keeping where I’m from in mind.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Eshinlokun Wasiu (b.Lagos, Nigeria) is a surrealist artist whose practice
explores the complexities of human identity, individuality, and
self-expression. Eshinlokun’s unique approach was born from his passion
for presenting ideas as gifts—wrapped expressions for people to uncover
layers and discover deeper meaning. This concept of gifting, both visually
and metaphorically, forms the core of his artistic journey. His works
challenge viewers to see beyond the obvious, inviting them to explore
emotions, expectations, and the unknown, offering a new perspective on
the human experience.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Is to believe in what he or she is doing, and never take in the negative energy of the society, keep going and one day the society will learn from you by believing in what you do.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
